American Atheists and Minnesota Atheists will be sponsoring two exciting events in August!

Friday, August 10, 2012, 7:00 p.m. - Atheist Professional Baseball Game.

“A Night of Unbelievable Fun!” at a St. Paul Saints baseball game. The St. Paul Saints are one of seven professional baseball teams in the American Association league. The team’s co-owner and “Team Psychologist” is comedian Bill Murray.

Our banners will hang in the stadium and we will rename the team the “Mr. Paul ’Aints.” The team will wear “Mr. Paul ’Aints” jerseys during the game, which will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for us. The letter “S” will be covered up on the word “Saints” throughout the ballpark and we’ll have an information/greeting table at the main entrance. American Atheists president Dave Silverman will throw out the first ceremonial pitch of the game which will be followed by a fireworks display.

The game will be played at Midway Stadium, 1771 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul, MN 55108. Public bus transportation is available to downtown St. Paul, or it’s about a $10 cab ride from downtown St. Paul. Arrive early at 5:00 p.m. for a tailgate party in the parking lot.

Special package rate tickets are available in the Outfield Reserved section for $12 (you’ll also receive a voucher for FREE hot dog and soda at the game!). The special rate group tickets will be available for a limited time so get them while they last. Saturday, August 11, 2012, All Day - Regional Atheist Conference

Join us for an all-day Regional Atheist Conference at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in downtown St. Paul. Confirmed speakers so far are: Hector Avalos, Teresa MacBain, PZ Myers, Robert Price, Dave Silverman, Andy Thomson, and Ayanna Watson.

In addition to the conference speakers, there will be a room with books, shirts, and other merchandise. Two delicious meals are available for purchase (see below). That evening, after the end of the conference, we will have a pub crawl in downtown St. Paul.
