\UHL/MITZMAN CHALLENGE\ ENERGIZING ATHEISTS ON LEGAL ISSUES

Thanks to the support of a new generation of activists, the Atheist movement in the United States is expanding its visibility in the public eye, and the public policy discussion over what role, if any, religious groups should have in the affairs of government. This new generation of Atheists, freethinkers, humanists and other non-believers , who are intelligent, well educated, positive, and upbeat, simply refuse to accept the old stigmas and canards regarding the irreligious.

There are many legal challenges that face today's atheist.  Whether it's an attempt to secularize the cross (if it's not Christian, it can be placed anywhere without regard to the Constitution or religious equality), or placing god-speak above the safety of our country, American Atheists is fighting the fights that need to be fought.

The New American Atheists is creating a legal fund specifically to drive these and other important legal issues.  And, thanks to Mr. Uhl and Ms. Mitzman, your donations will be doubled. Please donate today and help us help this country by defending the Separation of Church and State!

AMERICAN ATHEISTS is a nationwide movement that defends civil rights for Atheists, Freethinkers and other nonbelievers; works for the total separation of church and state; and addresses issues of First Amendment public policy.
