Gotta Love Hate Mail!

admin /

Every now and then we'll post a small snippet of hate mail we get on our Facebook page. Quite a few of our Facebook fans have asked that we post some more. So we figured... why not!

Hate Email #1: All this love from a "very religious man." If it turns out that the Christians are right, we think this "very religious man" will be sitting next to us in Hell.

Dear F*ckers

Just wanna say Hi, and as well wanna say that you are f*cking sick people suffering in this life by being exist without a reason!!! And you'll be suffering in the other life SURE.

So what suggest is that after f*cking yourselves as I'm sure you already do, after that you should hang yourselves

Ha ha ha ha

Worst regards
Very religious man

Hate Email #2: We get a lot of these strange ramblings. No grammar, no structure, no sense.

sorry i cant contribute,,, cause all our money says;;;;;;; IN GOD WE TRUST' therefore you have no right to accept or use it. but i will ask you this- hold a lighter under your finger and see how long you can withstand the burning flame. 3,4,5,6, seconds ??? do this /// well those who dont believe in GOD or JESUS will be cast into a LAKE OF FIRE for ALL ETERNITY FOREVER and ever and ever with no end.laugh if you want, but are you really so stupid that your willing to take that chance. where do you think the 1st man came from you people can not be that stupid, think about it/// SATAN HAS TRICKED ALL OF YOU = THATS HIS JOB ! ! 1 ! i will pray for you. and i leave you with this;; even tho you dont believe,,,, do this; pray tonight;'IF YOU ARE REAL JESUS,,,MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN TO ME,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, then forget it and go about your life. did you do it ?? cause when you die/// you do not die

Hate Email #3: What's really fun is the one-liners we get. We should shut up... and be blessed, too. LOL

I can't believe there are such ignorant people like your group. You and your group need to shut up and keep your ignorance to yourselves. God bless you all

Hate Email #4: Spaces between sentences are a good thing, but that aside, it is amazing how people think their beliefs should be immune from criticism.

I think you idots need to read the bible. If you can read.Leave our religion alone. You people think it is hot now wait till you go to hell and feel how hot it is down there. If you don't change your ways and learn that God is your heavenly father, then that is where you are going to go.

Hate Email #5: We actually did message him back just to prove we were not victims of "NO BALLS!!!!!"

life is not worth living you should kill yourself and then you will see if there is a GOD!!!! I know you wont send a message back NO BALLS!!!! So rest in peace!!!!

Hate Email #6: Godwin's Law be damned! Oh wait... he said Hilter. Who the hell is Hilter? ;)

Is this all you angry and scumbag assholes have to do? I think the named silverman is jewish. Now I understand why Hilter killed six million of the bastards. GET A DAMN LIFE

Hate Email #7: One-liners... gotta love 'em! And what about all the women who volunteer for American Atheists, don't they get a "suplex" as well?

Bitch, please. Bitch ill suplex you by your frigging d*ck hair.

Hate Email #8: And they need more theocrats in Saudi Arabia...

Let me explain something to you jacka*ses. Atheists make up LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF THE AMERICAN POPULATION!!! FACT, not fiction. Thus, the MAJORITY of Americans believe in a higher power. To attempt to remove God from the ENTIRE COUNTRY, is not only asinine, it's an affront to the other 99% of the country. The US Constitution guarantees separation of church and state, which means the government can't dictate or force a state religion. It guarantees freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. Get it through your heads, a*sholes, and quit tromping on MY rights! If you don't like religion, head your moronic a*ses off to China or North Korea...they need more num nuts there.

Hate Email #9: Dear believer, you can believe in whatever silliness you want. We're not taking away your rights. It's not a hard concept to grasp.

You people can believe what you want, but don't try to take away my rights. Don't you dare to tell me where, when and who to worship. Why can't you people just live in peace and leave everybody else alone. Over 90 percent of American don't believe that way you do so get a life. I see no one but you trying to tell people how to live. Get a life!

Hate Email #10: Well if we don't know how to read, then why email us?

PLEASE LEAVE US CHRISTIANS ALONE!!!! YOU PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT WHAT WE DO.IT IS OUR RIGHT TO PRAY.IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT TOUGH WE CHRISTIANS HAVE RIGHTS.YOU KNOW IT WOULD NOT HURT YOU PEOPLE TO PRAY.I GUESS YOU PEOPLE CAN JUST SNAP YOUR FINGERS AND GET YOUR WAY.YOU KNOW EVERYBODY WILL BE JUDGED ON JUDGEMENT DAY THAT INCLUDES YOU PEOPLE.YOU THINK IT IS HOT RIGHT NOW,IF YOU DO NOT CHANGE YOUR WAYS THEN YOU WILL BE GOING WHERE IT IS REALLY HOT.IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT THEN READ THE BIBLE.OH,THAT IS RIGHT YOU PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ.

That's it for now. Enjoy!

This isn't hate mail, it's a joke. Watch up on your Epic Rap Battles of History. Funny stuff.

Since sending us a public email using a public contact form is technically consent for use, it would not be a violation of privacy laws. However, we don't want almost 40,000 atheists emailing this people. LOL

You ought to put the "return" e-mail addresses of these "geniuses" when you post them, so every atheist in the country can send THEM hate mail, and worst of all, SPAM! ;) Any e-mail that is responded to should include, "Thanks for reenforcing my atheism! Its because of ignorant theists like you, that I am one!" ATHEISTICALLY YOURS. . . .

When I read these emails, I don't see enemies, I see victims. They may think of us as enemies but I just can't seem to see them that way. The deserve pity, not ire.

That isn't to say that this sort of thing isn't funny. I certainly find it amusing that these people who claim to have knowledge beyond ours don't even have knowledge of basic grammar... although I suppose if your head is full of the divine (I imagine it takes up a lot of space), then there might not be room for much else. Tragedy and comedy are bound together quite tightly such that most humor is at the expense of another. Their circumstances are tragic... and comedic.

These folks immediately reminded me of this line from Blazing Saddles:

"What did you expect? "Welcome, sonny"? "Make yourself at home"? "Marry my daughter"? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons."

Rhetorical question: Why do these people think we choose what we believe and don't believe? If I said right now "I belive in (whichever) god", it would be a lie because I have not been presented any evidence to change my viewpoint that no gods exist. I firmly believe that many self-proclaimed religious people actually doubt the existance of any god, but they are just too afraid to admit it. I guess they are afraid of the ostracism that they exhibit towards atheists.

To quote "Hate Email #8":

"Let me explain something to you jacka*ses. Atheists make up LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF THE AMERICAN POPULATION!!! FACT, not fiction. Thus, the MAJORITY of Americans believe in a higher power. To attempt to remove God from the ENTIRE COUNTRY, is not only asinine, it’s an affront to the other 99% of the country."

This proclamation is reminiscent of a passage spoken by the Prophet Immortal Technique in verse two, song seven "Industrial Revolution," from the timeless masterpiece "Revolutionary Vol. Two" -

"... 'cause if you go platinum, it's got nothing to do with luck, it just means that a million people are stupid as fuck."

The meaning conveyed in this message is simply that, just because the majority of people in any given population share the same belief/view/ideology, it does not in any way mean that said belief/view/ideology is right, nor does it presuppose the validity of this belief/view/ideology.

I've always held the strong belief that those "ninety-nine per cent" who share a monotheistic ideology, e.g., American Christians, are FUCKING INSANE; plain and simple. Is it really so hard to believe that we, the one per cent, are the only rational, logical, sane, realistic, etc., people in this country?

History has proven that it's well within the limits of reality for a society consisting of a HUGE number of people to all share a common belief/view/ideology that's completely FUCKED, utterly FANATICAL and inherently DELUSIONAL.

Take, for example, the Greeks and their mythology; the Egyptians and their pantheon; Germanic Vikings and their paganism; the witch-hunts of the late-fifteenth to mid-eighteenth centuries; the Nazis and the Holocaust; and, of course, Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

But, I digress ...

I am new to this site and have been reading many of the articles and posts over the last 2 days. I was raised within the Church by my devout grandparents but when I became an adult I decided to leave organized religion due to the hyprocrisy of many of the members. I have met many different people from every race, creed, and religion on my travels around the world and there are good and bad in every one of them - including Athiests. I have seen Athiests spitting on people as they left their Church services after calling them all sorts of degrading names simply because someone chose a Christian religion. Yes, the emails were assinine but some of the responses to them were equally ignorant. Please remember that some of us come to the this website for greater insight into others point of view and how you respond is how people will perceive what you stand for. Please remember that the difference between ignorance and stupidity is that ignorance is caused by a lack of knowledge, stupidity is knowing better and doing it anyway. Teach people what Athiesm is truly about instead of feeding their beliefs that you are all evil.

Thank you for your time.

I pretty much agree with what you said about civility, Free, but here's the deal: When you spend so much of your life being reviled by others, and even shunned by your own family simply for declining to go along with the majority belief, you get fed up. When yet another rancid tide of this sewage washes over you, sometimes you lose your temper, just like all other humans, superstitious and non.

Newt Gingrich is one of the main people in this country CONvincing masses of these morons that atheist's are trying to have christianity outlawed (I've actually heard him say it in an interview) in America, when in reality it's he himself who's trying to have atheism outlawed in america or at least to take away all rights from atheists by having America declared a "Christian Nation". I've seen this in his last "Contract With America" (which never passed). I would like to see Newt Gingrich and David Barton put in prison for outright fraud and warmongering right here in America!

Interesting that this email was deleted from other blogs. I guess when you have no substantial response, the only thing to do is eliminate the debate. I was referring to the ugliness written toward this group by "so-called" Christians:

These are not righteous people. They and you may call and view them as religious, but they are not of God. I know there is a God. Plain and simply put: “Yes, Jared there is a God.” I know without any doubt, without any hesitation, and not needing any faith. I know.
First let me ask you this, and take a moment to consider your response: 1) What is it about the belief in God that causes you fear? 2) Why are you as zealous about defeating the belief in God as the “religious” zealots are about forcing everyone to believe theirs is the only true faith (Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Muslim, and others)? It seems you treat the non-belief as sacredly as the ‘believers’ believe. Ponder that irony. All one has to do is scroll across the radio buttons above to illustrate my point.
I remain as incognito as possible to not be identified by you or those self-proclaimed religious imbeciles. Both groups’ views, outlooks, and zealousness are comical, but dangerous.
Sir Issac Newton’s First and Second Laws Of Thermodynamics and the Law of Conservation of matter simply put is that matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed. They merely change form. When you die, your life energy is expelled. This energy leaves your body. Some are forever caught between transition. These are most often that uneasy feeling you get somewhere, or a unusually cold spot in an area. Some may want to call it ghosts or poltergeists, it’s merely the unbalance of natural forces.
Why cannot ‘free thinkers’ consider the possibility of different planes of existence? Why cannot a ‘free thinker’ consider the possibility of a creator of planes or dimensions far beyond our ability to conceptualize. Why are ‘free thinkers’ and ‘religious’ persons so narcissistic as to believe we are the only experiment created.
What makes you think we are not simply one of many experiments in a enclosed sphere. Much like bacteria on a Petri Dish?
God is watching and btw, ‘No man knows the date or time of the end.’

Have fun at your rapture party.

I guess when you have no substantial response, the only thing to do is eliminate the debate.

Or, which is more likely, you have nothing of substance.

I know without any doubt, without any hesitation, and not needing any faith. I know.

Uh..that IS faith.

What is it about the belief in God that causes you fear?

Because crazies hide under the excuse of religion regularly - that's more observation than 'fear'.

2) Why are you as zealous about defeating the belief in God as the “religious” zealots are about forcing everyone to believe theirs is the only true faith

People starve to death while the RC sits on their coffers? The RC is against condom use? The RC regularly shields child molesters? The Prots are just as nuts. In fact, all religion is garbage, & belief in an afterlife poisons everything.

It seems you treat the non-belief as sacredly as the ‘believers’ believe.

Another armchair psychiatrist. Great. Like there's no abundance of those.
That's a Tu quoque, BTW. Look it up. & you're wrong.

I remain as incognito as possible to not be identified by you or those self-proclaimed religious imbeciles.

Don't flatter yourself. You ain't all that.

Sir Issac Newton’s First and Second Laws Of Thermodynamics and the Law of Conservation

Uh...first off, Newton didn't come up w/either of those laws. 2nd, the LoC & the FLoT are the same thing.

simply put is that matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed. They merely change form. When you die, your life energy is expelled. This energy leaves your body. Some are forever caught between transition.

HAHAHAHA! You're...joking, right? The point is not whether energy survives, it's about whether INFORMATION survives. If you cut up a DVD w/scissors, that information is gone. Zippo. Caput.

These are most often that uneasy feeling you get somewhere, or a unusually cold spot in an area.

Got proof, or is this more pseudo-physics you were spouting earlier?

Why cannot ‘free thinkers’ consider the possibility of different planes of existence?

What makes you think any of us don't? Analogous arguments aren't evidentiary proof anyways.

Why cannot a ‘free thinker’ consider the possibility of a creator of planes or dimensions far beyond our ability to conceptualize.

The scare quotes are insulting, so I'd suggest you knock that crap off.
Apparently, you're another 1 of the herd who spouts the same folderol. Most of us here used to be believers of some sort, so yeah, most of us 'considered' that. Sadly, the evidence points elsewhere.

Why are ‘free thinkers’ and ‘religious’ persons so narcissistic as to believe we are the only experiment created.

Newsflash: there's nobody up there - so this isn't any experiment of any kind.

God is watching and btw, ‘No man knows the date or time of the end.’

Ooh, scary scary. I'm so frightened, I'm clutching my pearls.

Have fun at your rapture party.

Now there's a long wait for a train that ain't comin'.

Excellent response to a to say it mildly, ignorant rambler of things he and she obviously have no real education about. Just a few things I'd like to add:

"2) Why are you as zealous about defeating the belief in God as the “religious” zealots are about forcing everyone to believe theirs is the only true faith"

Religious faith, is by definition, absolute belief in something without any suitable evidence to support the claim, and this sets things up for terrible things to happen. For the whole history of religions existence, people have been killed in "the name of God, or gods". No one kills in the name of atheism but why would they. Religious scripture says killed infidels, if you die in Holy War you go to paradise, etc. Sure there have been killers who have been atheists such as Stalin (those of you religious absolutists who like to argue Hitler was, that is not true. Many of his speeches and lines from his book Mein Kamf suggest he had a strong belief in the Catholic God) but either way, even if Hitler was an atheist, he didn't kill all the people he did because he was an atheist no more than Stalin and Hitler both killed all those people because they had moustaches. An excellent quote which puts this into perspective is "Good people do good, and bad people do bad, but for good people to do bad, that takes religion."

"Why cannot a ‘free thinker’ consider the possibility of a creator of planes or dimensions far beyond our ability to conceptualize."

Well lets see, you seem to like most people of faith have a hard time imagining how matter could just poof into existence. Well, now try thinking about how a being with the immense intelligence and technological ability to poof matter into existence, could just poof into existence. No matter how impossible it seems for you to think matter could just happen, you shoot yourself in the foot explaining it with "God" because a being like that to just poof into existence is even more unlikely. Not only that, but everything evolution tells us (which is a proven fact by the way) tells us you cannot get something complex without having simple beginnings. Look how long it took for complex thinking to come about, billions of years. You cannot have a "being" capable of creating life, the law of physics, and everything else in the universe at the start of everything. It doesn't make any sense.

"Why are ‘free thinkers’ and ‘religious’ persons so narcissistic as to believe we are the only experiment created."

Well I don't really understand why "religious" people are so narcissistic to believe their religion is the absolute right truth, when the abrahamic religions can be seen to have taken a lot of their stories and symbolism from the mediterranean religions that preceded them by a few hundred years, and when there is no evidence what so ever to support their claims except writings form over a thousand years ago translated, edited, written and composed by many different people. Now, when there is indisputable proof of evolution, when scientists can see up to the moment before the big bang, when physics has good reason to believe there is a multiverse with many universes in it, and when there is a very good possibility of biological life somewhere else in the universe, why wouldn't we know that we are right. The thing about our evidence and "religious evidence" is that anybody can see our evidence, check it, and make sure it is true. When it comes to "religious evidence" it is always "religious scripture" or "personal experience" or "a miracle" which can't be proven.
