Dawkins and Hitchens Want to Arrest the Pope

Monday, April 12th, 2010

RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain “for crimes against humanity”.

Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.

The pair believe they can exploit the same legal principle used to arrest Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, when he visited Britain in 1998.

I would love for this to happen. Just imagining the Pope being led away in handcuffs makes me shiver. I think about how much justice would be served if one picture was surfaced. One charge. One guilty plea, or verdict.

The Catholic people need to understand something — we are not out to get them, but their Pope is guilty (IMO) of several American and International crimes, most of which are against Catholics. Catholics have to get out of this mental state of believing the pope is always good.

I know, the mentality occurs because the Pope is supposedly chosen by God to be ‘the intermediary’ and can therefore not be anything but in God’s good graces, but it’s time we open some eyes and call the man a pedophile protector, guilty of aiding and abetting child rape, guilty of knowingly harboring criminals, hundreds or thousands of times, on an international level. Officially, in court. And if I am wrong, let the man defend himself.

Wishing the Pope was a good man doesn’t make it so.

Disgusting – Moslem Pedophiles Masquerading as Husbands

Friday, April 9th, 2010

SANAA – A 13-year-old Yemeni girl who had been forced into marriage died five days after her wedding when she suffered a rupture in her sex organs and haemorrhaging, a local right’s organisation said Thursday.

Ilham Mahdi al-Assi died on Friday in al-Thawra hospital, in Hajja province north of the capital, the Shaqaeq Arab Forum for Human Rights said in a statement quoting a medical report.

She was wedded on Monday in a traditional arrangement known as “swap marriage” in which the brother of the bride also married the sister of the groom, it said.

“The child Ilham has died as a martyr due to the abuse of children’s lives in Yemen,” the non-governmental organisation said.

Her death is a “flagrant example” of the results of opposing the ban on child marriage in Yemen, which is leading to “killing child females,” it said.

The next time someone asks you why there are no atheist hospitals (there are millions, they just don’t call themselves ‘atheist hospitals’), ask how many atheist organizations, speakers, or activists promote or commit child rape, protect pedophiles, or, as in this case, actually commit manslaughter via rape. Ask them to name an atheist who would sit back and defend the practice. Ask them to look it up and find one, and tell them that for every one they find, you will find 10 theistic pedophiles or pedophile protectors. Go ahead.

Could it be that when you place God’s law above civil law, and individuals interpret what God’s law is, that you end up in anarchy? Could it be that by giving people the OK to disobey civil law, that uncivilized people with obvious mental disorders run amok?

When Westboro Baptists are Right

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Disclaimer: I am not by any means saying the WBC is moral, intelligent, or ethical. I am not supporting their protests in front of the funerals of fallen soldiers, or for anyone for that matter.

But check out this video of the WBC (“God Hates Fags”) on FOX News and you should notice something. The interviewer, Ms. Julie Banderas, becomes enraged as she and Ms. Roper throw bible verses at each other, and the interview turns into a shouting/insult match. It’s fun to watch.

Here’s the truth: The WBC is correct in their interpretation of the Bible. God DOES hate gay people, as well as atheists, Wiccans, and a host of others. There is little room for interpretation; Exodus and Leviticus are clear. The WBC people are undoubtedly correct on this point.

…And mainstream Christianity hates them for it. The mainstreamers like Ms. Banderas wish their god was a loving god. They wish those blasted chapters weren’t there. They wish they could really point to the Bible as a perfect example of how they should live and who they should love. Unfortunately, like their wish for eternal life, this wish is eternally unfulfilled.

That’s why the mainstreamers hate the WBC so much. The WBC points out their flaws and makes them admit that their god isn’t all he’s cracked up to be.

Moral, ethical atheists like us hate the WBC because they are immoral pigs who use religion to preach hate, but that’s only because theirs is in actuality a religion of hate. Mainstreamers hate the WBC because the WBC makes the mainstreamers look in the mirror and consider what they’d much rather forget.

Back from the Convention and Ready to Party

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Thanks to all the wonderful people who came to the American Atheists convention last weekend. Thanks as well to all the speakers who came to educate and entertain.

Thanks especially to Andy Thompson from the Richard Dawkins Foundation, who amazed the crowd by showing the physical effects of singing Amazing Grace (wow).

The next convention has not been announced yet, but stay tuned here for details!

Convention Over

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

The convention was a great success, despite the unfortunate last-minute cancellation of Jeff Sharlet due to health reasons (get well soon). Dan Barker, Cecil Bothwell, and Paul Kurtz had the audience on its feet, and Andy Thompson had us singing and swaying.

Pictures will be posted soon, and the DVD will be sold. In the mean time here is a link to a CNN article I did two days ago.
