Oh. My. God. The AFA never ceases to amaze me with the things they are willing to get their panties in a bunch about. Seriously, seriously, never ceased to be amazed. Hopefully they have a great time spending their money on secular companies during their holiday of massive consumption. Because if it wasn't about massive consumption, then they wouldn't care how companies advertised because they'd be giving all of their money away to those less fortunate than them. Instead, they want to make sure they feel good about ever dollar they spend buying crap their kids don't need. Sounds like a great Christian holiday. Hope they enjoy it.

Don’t be a dunce.

I'm not. I asked you a direct question. I require evidence.

If you don’t want your questioned answered then why did you ask it?

That's a ridiculous response. I asked you a straight question, which you try to squirm out of.

Blankfein is a religious jew and scoundrel whose greed has brought the world to this economic disaster.

All by his little lonesome? You got proof for any of that? He up on charges?
All your blather tells me you got nothin'.

Blankfein is a religious jew and scoundrel whose greed has brought the world to this economic disaster. There is a prison cell waiting for him. Meanwhile Dave Silverman blogs about ... , oh yeh, xmas advertising and jesus iron-ons.

I'm not sure what our (atheists') response should be. Praise Gap for mentioning the solstice in their original commercial, thus inviting more boycotts upon them? Boycotting them for their xmas message commercial? How exactly does any of this change the world in our favor? Can we ever expect a mass retailer to not market to xians during an xian religious festival where they spend thousands of dollars at a time?

The american fascist council may have scared Gap's marketing guys with this boycott, but I doubt we could gain anything from taking a similar path. The AFC grows when they can convince xians they are being persecuted (i.e. non-christian beliefs mentioned in xmas ads = obvious persecution!).

On the other hand, our only path to growth is at the grassroots organizing level. Thus, our productive activities will always be different than theirs. My other conclusion is that we have inherently more potential to provide value to our members than the AFC has for theirs.
