We’re going a different and exciting route this year for the Solstice celebration in NJ. This year, for the first time, we are cooperating with local Humanist Groups to create a full weekend of atheism.
On Saturday, the 19th of December, the Red Bank Humanists and the NJ Humanist Network will have a Humanlight celebration in Bound Brook ($30). Then, at night, we all sleep at the Hampton Inn, where we will have a BYOB party with music ($65 for the night, the party is free). The next morning, after free breakfast, we all go to the Center for the Solstice event ($20). It’s an inexpensive, full-but-relaxing weekend.
Here’s the scoop — this is meant to bring in atheists from farther away than the very-locals. We need this to happen, to show that cooperation between groups will work better than operating separately. Call your friends and come. Stay at the hotel and socialize. Have fun. Join multiple groups. Tweet and Facebook this blog entry. Shout this from the rooftops!

Deadline to register for the Solstice event is December 5! See you there.

That is awesome! It’s about time too. You’ll have a bigger, better event by inviting other groups and their members.
Now a combined multiple national group convention would also be a big affair. If you had it in the geographical center of the US of A, it would get a lot of folks out.
