In Memorium,David Miles

It is with deepest regrets that I must pass on that my friend and fellow atheist David Miles died on November 4th after a brief illness.

David Miles was one of the most prolific letter-writers I have ever known. He helped me immensely with the Freethinker’s Letter-Writing Cooperative. His letter-writing skills were amazing and he always had a way of making his points to the readers of newspapers across the Southeast.

David was a Member of American Atheists and his contributions to the cause will be greatly missed. I will miss him at the American Atheist Convention this year and I will miss our email exchanges, but mostly I will miss his friendship. David’s afterlife will be living on in my memories and the memories of everyone that he knew in his life.

You can read many of his letters online:

  1. Condolences, David.
The loss of a friend is like a cut to the heart. It calls the tears, & the scar heals, but slowly.

There is no doubt that loss of a friend is a very difficult time in life…

Tell me something…why is loss of one life so traumatic, yet the loss of another is merely used as a rallying cry for one’s personal agenda? Is it because we can place on name on that life?

Listen to the words of one who was on the front lines and you tell me abortion is a “Church and State” issue…just one more example of the moral superiority of atheism…

Follow the money…I’ll give you 10 to 1 odds Google will take down this interview…

    • Standard tactics. This is a thread mourning the departure of a friend of Blair’s, but you use it to push your mythical agenda.
For someone who thinks they’re morally superior, you sure don’t act it. In fact, why don’t you & the little mouse go bother some Muslims, or Mormons, or some other faction who believes in supernatural folderol.
      Your voodoo doesn’t fly here.

That’s an enormously powerful video–too powerful for “Planned” Parenthood to keep the lid on. You’re right, I bet it’s days are numbered on YouTube, though.

It’ll be interesting to watch all the legal wrangling “Planned” Parenthood will attempt to either smear her or ruin her financially… Typical gutless tactics by the invertebrate left.

Pretty rich, coming from a standard reichwingnut stereotype.
Planned Parenthood obviously supplies a demand for people, else it wouldn’t exist. & there’s obviously an overpopulation problem – except for the Quiverful airheads like the McChristian brothers, who think magical sky-daddy is going to swoop down & rectify everything.
