Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed her long-awaited Brief of the Appellant with the 7th Circuit US Court of Appeals in the Illinois Student Prayer Act mandatory public school “Moment of Silence” case. This is the case in which my daughter, Dawn Sherman, successfully sued to stop Buffalo Grove High School from wasting her time, each morning, by making her stand around and do nothing, during instructional time paid for by the taxpayers, when Dawn wanted to be studying and learning.
This is a great article by a well-known local activist Rob Sherman, who won this case earlier this year. The State is appealing.
How anyone can see mandatory Moments of Silence as constructive is beyond me. It is not a compromise, it is a cloak — a diversion which forces children to attend a silent prayer session. Some will say these kids need a moment to “reflect”, but this is BS. Any such kid can reflect at home. A required MOS is a means to push kids to pray. Simple and illegal.

A moment of silence, or a prayer if chosen, is appropriate for a specific reason from time to time, but any parent knows it is a waste of time when it becomes a daily habit, unless they are control freaks about other people’s children.
The public school system is a failure and i don’t blame the teachers.Did you people see the video of that chicago kid being beated to death.All across the country public schools have assaults,rapes,substance abuse.We didn’t have this in public schools 40 yrs ago.We spend more money and get worse results, we should segregate the school by sex, race and see what results.
We did segregate schools…and it was found to be “illegal” and against human rights because such segregated schools weren’t equal. OK…then, let us equalize these schools based on not just race, culture, religion, or lack of religion…gender, and culture (I don’t want MY child learning the culture of black inner city gangs!)…and see what happens.
Well, I know what happens. Rich people segregate their kids into private, well run, well disciplined schools, where they learn something useful besides how to recycle trash and save the whales…and as a result their kids are smarter and more success.
This entire “collective” bull shit that we all just live in one big pile of human crap has not served us well, because we are NOT all alike on any level. It is socialist and communist bull shit to demand that we all be forced to live and our kids go to school with those who don’t respect me, respect my property, or my children’s right to live in a crime-free, and intelligent world.
Integration was the worst thing that has happened to this country, not for reasons of rejecting racial discrimination, but that it has forced the “integration” of bipedal humanoids, who do not have the IQ, the genetics, or the want or skills to become functioning, socialized and civil human beings…and this has zero to do with either gender or the color of one’s skin. It has to do with what is in the Mind of each human being…who uses their “mind” to either commit criminal acts, or learn how to be good people.
Such changes in how and who is educated by self “choice” is taking place in a cultural war in many cities, in which parents and children who want to learn are getting to choose to go to charter schools. However, due to many teacher unions who know that if such charter schools are “successful” they will be out of a job….they are fighting tooth and nail to keep a very failed educational system in place…so they can keep their jobs, and continue to be the most damaging force in American history.
From the top down in education…it is about “social justice” and propaganda, and not learning how to think, or realism, or respect for the individual person. I recently reviewed a Middle Grades English test…and 95% of the test questions were about social justice, getting along, conflict resolution, and more socialist and collective ‘crap’ than anyone would ever imagine. There was not one test question on grammar, vocabulary, spelling, writing skills, or composition…Not one.
Now why would anyone want their child to be forced to attend such schools that destroy their ability to think and become civilized human beings for the rest of their lives? Get your child out of public school, home school them with like minded people if you don’t have the money to send them to a private school…but keep them out of public schools filled with the most illogical, criminal, human detritus that has ever hit this planet.
Besides a supreme court decision to force integration…the main cause of this mess, is the Democrats and Liberals actually “paying” dumb, uneducated, drug dependent women to breed children like cockroaches, so the Democrats could have an ever growing supply of stupid, dependent voters to take over and destroy this country. And the Republicans let them.
As a result, the overall IQs in this country have actually declined by 10 points.In some cities, more than 80% of the population is on some kind of welfare or governmental support…and it is demanded through guilt and socialist ideology that we not only pay and pay, but become just like them! Now I ask you…just how can a country survive when the majority of its people are dumb, uneducated, socialist, criminalized, propagandized idiots, who have not a clue or any respect for learning or intelligence?

Friday night a man left around 6:30 for a religious reason, seven day adventist from where I work. Lost time, lost work. Too much time is lost due to religious reasons. There are too many religious holidays for a myriad of religions.
On taxpayer time students need not waste time on silence when they should be studying. Not even one minute. Let the christians pray when they get a moment by themselves in their seat. Who’s going to know, they might just be resting their eyes a moment.
If you aim is to educate, how is staring at the wall helping to accomplish that goal?
