The problem for us is that the Religious Right are scandal by scandal, person by person, taking away people at whom we can laugh. The problem for the Religious Right is they have nobody positive to substitute for their laughable buffoons. Hmmm. What does that say….
Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.
They’ll be back. . . .
Oh there HAS to be a scandal behind this. She’s a rookie politician whose only significant credential is being the governor of a state of less than 700,000 people. If she quits then she has no record of significance. Ohhhhhh! I smell big scandal.
Maybe her 14 year old daughter is now knocked up? Maybe her special-needs child really isn’t her’s as suspected? Maybe Sarah had an affair? Any more guesses?
What,
The thought of a scandal makes me smile.
Wait a minute now… Let’s not assume that there is some scandal behind this… I mean, I can’t stand the woman however, to assume that there was an affair, or that the “special needs” kid isn’t hers is something the “right” would do.. Let’s wait and see where this thing goes, and just be glad that she no longer has the power of governor in the state of Alaska..
I couldn’t agree more…
Stupidity Ruled on November 4th…
SWhe was born IGNORANT and has been losing ground ever since.
You said it phreed. Starting with Biden as unequivocally, the dumbest individual to ever hold the office as well as being the undisputed king of gaffes; and finishing up with the stammering, Marxist who couldn’t utter a complete sentence without his trusty teleprompter. Remember: without TOTUS there would be no POTUS…
She, Witch Palin, was born IGNORANT…
JCC, you forget Dan Quayle: If his brain(or yours ) were placed on the edge of a straight razor , it would look like a “BB” in the middle of an 8 lane highway!

Wrong again Je-zeus christ CREEP: I have long said, “The difference between a democrat and a republican is like the difference between a warm bucket and a cold bucket of spit.”
You, CREEP, cannot pigeon-hole me as a liberal, a consertvative, a republican, a democrat , a theist or an atheist, and it just chaps your ass you can’t do so and thereby foist your bigotry and discrimination on a false “class” basis!
Wrong again Je-zeus christ CREEP. I have long said: “The difference between a democrat and a republican is like the differenece between a warm bucket and a cold bucket of spit.”
Your attempts to pigeon-hole me will not work: I am neither a democrat nor a republican; neither a liberal nor a conservative; neither a theist nor an atheist. And it just chaps your ass that you can’t demonstrate your bigotry and prejudice by your classical “class” notions and methodology.
It’s not surprising.
jcc makes an assertion.
He is proven to be hyperbolic.
He changes the focus.
Anyone see a pattern?
phreedm, likely if we combined the IQ of McCain and Palin and multiplied by 2, they would not equal Obama’s.
Hey phreedm… STFU! I would venture to say that stupidity ruled for the 8 years prior to Nov. 4th 2008.. and that post Nov. 4, 2008 is the track that the true america needs to follow..
And for proof…simply take a look at the post by “What do I know”…
And Dave’s original thread…tell me something. Why does the left think only on an emotional level? It’s laughable to see how shallow one’s political thoughts can be.
Yes, STUPITIDY RULED ON NOVEMBER 4th…
Am I bitter? Absolutely not. One of the only things I get angry about is ignorance. It’s the most expensive commodity we have…
DING DONG THE WITCH is GONE
WHICH OL WITCH?
THE WASSILI(was silly) WITCH.
DING DONG THE WICKED WITCH IS GONE
Yahweh,
LOL! I was thinking of the Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is dead song. Perfect!
Palin isn’t too quick; she’s as slow and deluded as George Dubya.
phreedm:
Because, by definition, a liberal is a feeler and not a thinker. That’s why it’s impossible for them to win in the arena of ideas. That’s why atheists are drawn to the Democrat party; feeling is soooo much easier than actually thinking.
what delightful irony and hypocrisy : BELIEVERS criticizing others for purportedly not thinking.
hahaha—that’s truly like the black pot of ignorance calling the kettle black!
JCC says:
Actually solid statistics show over and over that liberals have higher IQ’s than conservatives, that liberals are far likelier to be university-educated than conservatives. (For example, I have a university degree in mathematics. Chances are you never went to university, or if you did you majored in something soft.)
It is no accident that conservative ‘thought’ is often characterized as ‘knee jerk.’ It’s no accident that the most popular talk shows on the radio are conservative, because conservative talk show hosts offer simplistic solutions to complex social problems, often with violent ‘remedies,’providing common appeal to 2-dimensional thinkers like you. You are severely out of your depth, as usual.
JCC,
Your comment adds to the list of silliest things I’ve heard (read). Liberals don’t think? That’s a lie! Liberals tend to think outside the box while conservatives give up their right to think in exchange for conformity. Conservatives, by DEFINITION, prefer repurposing someone elses ideas rather than THINKING and creating their own.
And the Democratic party comment is a lie too. As an Atheists, I vote the issues not the party; and I’m confident that the majority of Atheists vote similarly even when their values for a given set of issues differ. Think about that little riddle…
No… STUPIDITY has been diverted; most of it now resides within Sarah Palin.
You do know it’s a sin to lie?
cite please.
Book of Revelations (21:27).
Your welcome.
my request for a cite was directed to data to back up another’s claimthat “liberals are more intelligent”.
Now phreedm, if you are suggesting Palin was a good choice, you don’t need to go far to speak of the lack of intelligence of the American voter.
McCain had a chance until his constituency like normal lack of intelligence selected Palin for a running mate.
Many people saw him as a viable chance even on what you falsely consider the left.
Go look at the polls. He was favored until that choice.
That told the American voter two things.
That they needed to vote for Obama and that McCain is a complete idiot for making such a choice.
So don’t go blaming the intelligence of the American voter.
Look at the polls and then blame those at fault. YOURSELF.
You should have spoken up to your party and told them to oust her.
And then you thought she would be a good presidential candidate as well.
The American public made the choice and it wasn’t democrats, It was everyone.
Over 50 percent of Republicans voted for Obama too. Those were the smart ones.
Obviously a winner from the Dan Quayle spelling bee…
Ah, this is beautiful, indeed. The Republican party is falling apart right in front of our eyes. Talk about being on life support. They just lost two hopefuls for 2012 in one week. Sanford, and now Palin. So, now who will they turn to, Bobby Jindal?
They’ve become a bad soap opera with horrible writing, with even worse actors.
I’m surprised anyone even claims to be a Republican anymore.
“I’m surprised anyone even claims to be a Republican anymore.”
There are still some people who value stealing from the poor to give to the rich over everything else. But there has been a steep decline in Jeebus-brand Family Values spokesmorons.
Palin made mistakes the biggest was to join mccain.until then she was a popular governor doing a reasonably good job. There is no execuse for making fun of her disabled child or the 14 yr old.The republican party is not dead by a long shot.We are going to get our act together in time for 2010,2012 secular an religious republicans will work together. The stakes are too high for our country to allow the democrats to remain in power.
The pendulum is always in motion. The Democrats have been on a planet-wide Gloat-A-Thon, since Nov. 4th, and their nauseating and still ongoing premature victory dance on the grave of the Republican Party shows no sign of ending soon. (Good for them—*golf clap!*) They are notorious for overreaching. Next midterm election is a year and a half away and the Democrats will still be crowing, high-fiving eachother, and clinking their glasses.
I am confident that the Republican Party will be back in 2016, and perhaps 2012 if they choose to focus on economic issues and the mess of a bailout rather than creating a theocracy and blaming our struggles on homosexuals and amoral heretics. However, the Republican Party as we know it is dead. LOTS of changes need to be made, because people are beginning to realize the Church’s backing is no substitute for decent foreign policy.
AR or Reason I’m curious as to what it would take for either of you to vote Democrat. Who would you take in a 2012 showdown between God’s chosen women Palin and Bachman and an ultra-liberal ticket of Obama and Biden?
I don’t always vote Republican, but I never have voted Democrat (and never will). I’d probably vote Libertarian Party, again. Palin is the sole reason I didn’t vote Republican in 2008.
Ultra Liberal??? Where?? O’Same maybe has a toe left of center. He’s basically carring out W’s failed policies. The only difference is that O can speechify a bit. And he did relegalize science.
reason – secular an religious republicans will work together. The stakes are too high for our country to allow the democrats to remain in power.
I’m sorry, did you say secular and religious republicans will work together…? I can’t wait to see how that’s going to work…
Really? OK…tell me exactly where the Feds get the power to take over GM? AIG? CITI Group? Nationalize Health Care?
If you’re such a solid thinker please point to the clause in the Constitution that gives the Feds that power?
Article 1 – The Legislative Branch
Section 8 – Powers of Congress
<>
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;
do banks, insurance companies, and motor companies engae in INTERSTATE commerce?
If so, congress may REGULATE such.
We might disagree with the policies employede by repubs or dems , but for over a century congress has regulated ALL forms of interstate commerce.
phreedm,
Article I, Section 8 gives Congress wide, sweeping authority to pass laws that it believes to be for the country’s best interest.
“To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.”
The “necessary and proper ” clause has been used by Congress since 1790s and confirmed by Sup Ct, from Marshall’s to Roberts’, to do a whole host of things beyond that speciifed in theConstitution.
Tell me where the Feds get to take my right to freedom, phreedm?
And then call it the Patriot Act.
That’s anti-constitutional, anti-American and THEY SHOULD BE IN JAIL FOREVER and considered traitors along with anyone who supports it. Do you phreedm?
You should kick yourself in the buttocks for suggesting any good from that party.
The government was put in place to protect the people from them.
I’m thing they believe freedom means Free Dumn. Perhaps another Bushism.
thx1138,
This is provably false. If you graph education in a bell curve containing: High School Dropouts, High School Graduates, College Dropouts, College Grads w/AA/AS, College Grads w/BA/BS, College Grads w/MA/MS, and PhDs, you will find that more conservatives have college degrees, specifically BA/BS degrees. And the extreme ends, High School dropouts and MA/MS, and PhD’s are to be Democrats.
That’s the most damning putdown of Republicans I’ve ever read.
So you’ve all barely begun your education — nothing but BA/BS, just enuff to let you think you know everything –
I guess that explains all the BS you put out….
All it indicates that the very least educated and the very most educated tend to be Democrats. The very middle tend to Republicans. That is because Republicans tend to get a degree in business or law and then go immediately into the workforce. Be an erudite snob if you want to. Just dont let your monocle fall into your champagne glass while you are laughing at the hoi polloi.
Actually the brightest folks tend to be Libertarians or independents.
stats with site, cites please.
You guys first.
I have not made a statistical premise re IQ of dems or reps.
So, you BACK up your premise with cites , or your failure to do so will result in conclusion you have no such support, and your premise id mere BOVINE SCATOLOGY.
Your side “Team Left” made the first assertion with…
That means you guys get to cite your sources first. Then I’ll easily refute them later.
I made the same request above of blogger who made premise re IQ of dems vs reps.
atheist rep you are again mistaken, I am not on the “side” you identify as left nor whatever side on which you self-identify.
Not even close.
Remember Theology is not an education, unless you count it under folklore.
Education is something considered to be real.
And there are two classes of Republicans.
The wealthy and the fools.
The wealthy are educated and brainwashing and often scandalous, using their clout for abuse and political gain.
The fools are gullable and uneducated and incapable of common every day thought processes.
They are followers not thinkers. They pick their side and follow it without question.
This is obviously the majority of them, because the rich are not a majority.
I am one who sides with neither party, but the Democrats are typically better people as they generally think about everyone, not just themselves.
NonTheistDoGooder,
Oh good. I’m sure that the Republican delegates trying to enter the Republican convention in 2008 that had bleach squirted in their eyes by Democrat activists will feel much better knowing that they were being assaulted by a superior class of people.
Sort of a “master race” or a “one True Church” if you will.
How do you know that? Did Cheney pay them to yell “I’m a Democrat!” while they were squirting?
Spot on, NTDG.
Look up “spenard”, “stevens”, and “palin”. Same company too. I bet there’ll be a firestorm around our favorite hockeymom.
http://chattahbox.com/us/2009/07/04/does-sarah-palin-have-a-ted-stevens-problem-federal-indictments-may-be-imminent/?FORM=ZZNR4
I guess she’s going to the penalty box or she is going to join another team, like the Russians who she knows so well.
BTW, there’s a good adult flick out there with an actress playing Sarah and a close encounter with two of her Russian friends. Very entertaining.
Makes me proud as an American that the effects of the media and other negative sources has finally caused something positive though.
I agree, she must have gotten snagged in some scandal or the Republicans want her out.
thx1138:
Good for you. Too bad you still let your emotions dominate your thought processes.
There’s no “chance” about the fact that you are dead wrong.
Another example of your emotional, wishful “thinking.” You really should be more careful when making assumptions about someone you don’t even know. I’ll see your single little degree in “hard” mathematics with a Bachelor of Science in Geology, and raise you a Master’s in Computer Science. Grow up.
Bachelor’s in science? Masters in CompSci? Really? What, from some low rent drive by night online college? Or even better, Liberty U?
Now. you need to stop that cheap ass Rovian trick with the emotion crap. You know you’re talking about yourself. What’s that called? Projecting? You’re the one whose hooked on the opiate of wishful thinking.
Now go worship your god of war, your wolf in sheep’s clothing, your false idol. The propaganda of so many conquerors and charlatans.
How do you know your holy babble wasn’t written by satan’s minions?
If he existed, and I were him, that’s what I’d have done.

You forgot to mention that “degree in biology from an accredited university” which you thot qualified you to pontificate on the validity of the theory of evolution. I asked you once before to give the particulars on that, but I haven’t seen any answer from you.
You’ve been demonstrating for years that all your degrees in science have given you no understanding at all of the scientific method, and you just showed it again by putting the science of geology on the same level with computer science.
NotSoFast says:
July 4, 2009 at 7:14 pm
Excellent NSF! Appears you caught JCC in a lie rooted in wishful ‘thinking.’ Well done.
I “thot?”… Hmmm. Since I don’t have one, I’ve never claimed to have a degree in biology here. Please direct me to where you think I made such a claim.
Really? Then how the heck do you suppose I was able to complete all that course work that was predicated on the scientific method…? Oh, I know, I must have used my Christian wiles to “trick” those universities into granting me those degrees—and never mind the fact that at the time I earned them I was an ardent believer in Darwinism…
I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean. Are you saying the scientific method used in geology isn’t as good as the scientific method used in computer science? Please explain.
jcc
As I said before, I missed your reply to my earlier query.
You confirm that you have no degree in biology:
I doubt that. More likely, it accepts the consensus of specialists in evolutionary biology, who are expected to know what they’re talking about.
Yeah, just like everyone who graduates from the Joe Biden School of Word Counting… or the Barry Hussein Uh-bama Muslim Heritage Academy of New U.S. Geography (whose motto is: A mind is a terrible thing to waste… without a teleprompter).
I think you’re jealous because we now have our first President since Clinton that can actually read the teleprompter. You gotta admit, Bush was one of the worst to grace the Oval Office, and one of the least intelligent. He should be tried on war crimes and locked up.
Hello? Don’t you get it? Without Axelrod’s script on TOTUS, Barry Hussein is a demonstrable, stammering, bumbling, blithering idiot.
No, I don’t.
You gotta be kidding. Uh-bama, who thinks he’s been to 57 states; on multiple occasions, didn’t know what town he was in; called Matt Lauer, “Tim” 3 times during an interview; exaggerates 12 tornado deaths in Kansas to 10,000; thinks translators of Arabic in Iraq can be used as translators of Farsi in Afghanistan; thinks Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us;” lied about his “father serving in World War II;” lied about a non-existent article in Life magazine about a black man who was scarred by trying to “lighten his skin;” lied about his parents conceiving him as a direct result of the civil rights march in Selma, Alabama; lied about American troops, “just air raiding villages and killing civilians” in Afghanistan; belittles Special Olympians on national TV; can’t tell the difference between a window and a door at the White House; doesn’t understand military protocol and tries to shake an enlisted Marine’s hand while he’s saluting him; and I could go on and on… Uh-bama makes Algore look like someone with a “normal” IQ.
For what? Keeping your butt safe from terrorist attacks? If anyone should be impeached it’s Uh-bama for his illegal usurping of power over the private sector.
My, my. The grapes went sour in someone’s w(h)ine.
No sour grapes; just callin’ it as I see it.
No, that is an infection of the brain. This dumb ass is deranged. She’ll beleive anything the right wing meme machine puts out there.
But, what do you expect from a dominionist xian?
Go away jcc, you piece of shit nazi fuck.
JCC,
Don’t forget our Dear Leader’s latest gaffe. Yesteday Obama referred to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, as “President” when the President of Russia is Medvedev. Obama is the Whitehouse’s biggest verbal gaffe machine ever. And you’ve only mentioned about half of the ones I know about. Though Obama’s gaffe carpet-bombing campaign is generally entertaining and hysterical, they do indicate that he is totally out of his environment in the foreign policy arena. Ultimately, it is Congress that will have a worse effect on our lives than our funny Jar Jar Binks-in-chief.
AR
I don’t get it. Where’s the gaffe? Former presidents are often referred to as president.
You were so “on” a few days ago. What happened? An once of truth is usually necessary for a good joke.
Putin is now a Prime Minister. That is his correct title while he holds it.
I agree but the gaffe is so slight. I wouldn’t even call attention to it. Doing so creates the impression that you had to look far and wide to find a gaffe.
…except when one like it is committed by a conservative…
Only to a narrow-minded, head-in-the-sand, ideologically blinded hypocrite.
I’m relieved to hear that.
what’s this, AR? Some sour grapes? Ol’ W couldn’t get through a single sentence without mangling it? And Palin. Hah! Was that a resignation speech or a play by play of two sports at once?
And that so-called foreign policy ‘inexperence’ has led to a partial pullout of the illegal war in Iraq (that had nothing to do with 9-11), and the Taliban being squeezed from two sides. Pakistan is now actually taking the threat seriously, fighting them head on instead of taking $10 billion dollars and aiding them under the table, while our army has built up enough in Afghanistan to wipe them and Al Queda out in Helmand province. Relations with Europe have improved considerably. China and Russia are now taking Iran and North Korea seriously. Mousavi wouldn’t have even been possible without Obama’s successful campaign and legitimate election.
Now, do I agree with Obama with how he’s handling the Iranian uprising? Not exactly, but there is a plausible argument that more interference within their borders, like assasinating the Mullahs, would in the end be counterproductive and possibly more harmful.
Bush let 9-11 happen. he had ample warning. He failed at “keeping us safe”.
I rest my case. Ask Richard Dawkins to review this pathetic thread. He wouldn’t waste a response, and neither will I. Idiots who think that rebellion is freethought. LOL. Pathetic.
NeoWolfe
I don’t think anyone here expects Dawkins to read their thoughts and become enthralled. Nice attempt to throw yourself in the same boat as Dawkins though.
Neoplasm
Promise?
What
Putin is a seasoned leader who commands respect and who deserves to be addressed by his proper title.
Will palin please go away she had a chance to build a record as governor and she is giving it away.i have little use for these people who take lightly the honor they are given to serve in high office.being asked to run for vice president went to her head.
Seasoned leader who commands respect? Sure, if Stalin is your role model. He’s shut down opposition parties, jailed political opponents, allegedly poisoned former spies and other heads of state, cut off natural gas lines to the Ukraine more than once to enforce his will, and rumored to have pushed Yeltsin out of office.
If being the dirtiest player in the game deserves respect, then respect away. I won’t be joining you.
Well, he deserves more respect the Bush. Who deserves a war crimes trial!
We can still make fun of Rush Limbaugh. I’m pretty sure his elbow fat has elbow fat.
