I had not heard about Oklahoma's proposed legislation to ban a specific speaker from a University because he was perhaps too scientific.

I am still hoping that Ray Comfort decides to debate Dawkins at some point, but I think it would be just as entertaining to watch him sit down and get inside the head of this nut.

"I have great holy sex with my wife all the time and I like it very much"
This guy has been at my school (Clemson University) the past two days stirring up all kinds of controversy, and a few friends and I went out and listened to him rant against everything from homosexuality to gluttony to owning a car.

Apparently he goes all around universities in the Eastern U.S. trying to save people, but to him everyone seems to be doomed and he's more offensive to religious people than he was to me.

Quote from the lead up:

"The shyness thing kicked in. Also, I took into consideration that Richard is often accosted at events like this because of his celebrity. I had personally witnessed people falling all over themselves during the convention just to breathe the same air as Richard and I didn’t want to come across as a star-struck fan girl."

He's obviously a really smart guy with an educated and balanced view. But, if some consider him a rock star, I consider him a fellow free thinker. I would have no fear to buy him a drink and talk philosophy. Evolution, though undeniable fact, does not explain the origin of the universe.

But, for whatever intimidation she might have felt, I thought she did a very professional interview. Despite her desire to ask questions no one had asked before, she fell short. Not her fault I think, Dawkins has faced all the questions already. I wish the interview was videotaped, and I would have loved to see it.
