Thursday, February 19th, 2009Barbarian Beheads Beloved
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009The estranged wife of a Muslim television executive feared for her life after filing for divorce last month from her abusive husband, her attorney said — and was then found beheaded Thursday in his upstate New York television studio….Muzzammil Hassan, who founded Bridges TV in November 2004 to counter anti-Islam stereotypes, surrendered to police Thursday. Hassan touted the network as the “first-ever full-time home for American Muslims,” according to a press release.”Every day on television we are barraged by stories of a ‘Muslim extremist, militant, terrorist, or insurgent,’” Hassan said in the 2004 release. “But the stories that are missing are the countless stories of Muslim tolerance, progress, diversity, service and excellence that Bridges TV hopes to tell.”
See? This is what scares me. There are barbarians like this HERE in this country. They whine about prejudice against them, cry when people show fear of them, and then, they commit cold-blooded murder. The supposed good-guys of Islam, murdering the mother of their small children.I hope he enjoys the 72 virgins when they fry his pathetic barbaric ass.

Mr. Whipple beats Pat Robertson
Monday, February 16th, 2009By Adelle M. Banks, Religion News ServiceSome Americans are more loyal to their toothpaste or toilet paper than to their religious denomination, making those consumers more choosy about Charmin or Colgate than they are about church, according to a new survey.According to a Phoenix-based research firm, 16% of Protestants say they would consider only one denomination, while 22% of them would use only one brand of toothpaste and 19% would use just one brand of bathroom tissue.Experts say the findings may be more telling about Americans’ views of the plethora of Protestant groups than how they choose between Quilted Northern and, say, Cottonelle.”When you have a whole bunch of different brands out there and not a lot of differentiation among some of them — and not a lot of knowledge about them — the denominational world is facing the same problem as many other brands,” said Ron Sellers, president of Ellison Research, which conducted the survey.
WHY IS THIS TRUE?BECAUSE… people make their own choices about morality and ethics, and they pick the church that matches them best. If a pastor says or does something a parishioner doesn’t like, he will find somewhere else to go. ALL ALONG they will be spouting off on how God gives them their morality, and how important religion is to morality. But morality comes from our brains and our environment. It is not objective, and it is not stagnant (slavery). People who change churches underscore this, because they are making changes to find a church which suits them better, not changing themselves to better suit the perfect ford of God.
Happy VD!
Sunday, February 15th, 2009Darn, I forgot to post on Valentine’s Day. Now we’ll have to skip the topic.Seriously, I hate Valentine’s Day. It’s a totally manufactured holiday morphed from religion into a horrible “you’ll do this or you’re not romantic” farce. Today at the mall, Godiva had velvet ropes out in front to guide the line of men who needed (NEEDED) chocolates to go with the mandatory flowers and (AND) gifts for their loved ones. That’s not romance. It’s capitalism. I know romance. Romance is flowers “Just Because”. Romance is a massage, or a quiet meal, or, if you’re real good, a long meeting of eyes across a crowded room. Romance is spontaneous but anticipated, undeniable, and essential. And it doesn’t come from a red heart-shaped box because the calendar says so. Thus sayeth the dave
