It’s just a little blog that we read once in awhile. No big deal.

Dave, glad to help. I read every day, and it is a big deal.

    Speaking of activism…

Last month it was discovered that AA had erroneously given credit of a quote, on their new web site, to Thomas Jefferson in an attempt to prove the “myth”…

Last November, Mr. Ed posted the following letter…

    Atheists win Legal battle

This case arose out of what we alleged was a denial of civil rights, and a conspiracy to violate civil rights, by state actors in Oklahoma against members of the Smalkowski family and other members of American Atheists. The Smalkowski family has made its own separate settlement with the defendants. Our lawsuit was based on the denial of civil rights to Atheists in the Oklahoma school, using the treatment of the Smalkowskis as evidence for this claim, and seeking redress for Atheists.

We thank the Smalkowski family for their praise of our efforts on their behalf and we wish them well in their future undertakings.

It appears the Smalkowskis’ weren’t very happy with AA…

    Letter from the Smalkowski Family

“We thank the Smalkowski family for their praise of our efforts on their behalf and we wish them well in their future undertakings.” From an American Atheist press release.

What a bunch of bull. Nicole fired American Atheist and Edwin Kagin right after convention.

American Atheist after we fired them made this end run with the help of Rick Rice. Seems they profited. How they claimed damages is beyond me. We were not involved.
As for our cases, we did not profit. We are still broke from our legal costs! We are trying to salvage Nicoles future but like I said we are broke.
We were totally disgusted with our legal team.

It would appear that since Mr. Ed took the reigns of power at AA, profit has trumped truth…

My question is, did AA under Mr. Ed’s leadership offer to help the Smalkowskis’ if we are to believe their letter posted in the local paper…?

Great lesson in “morality”…now tell me again how those without a foundation can develop superior values…

How odd. Why was Mr Ed’s name edited from my last post…

Don’t know Phreedm, but I would appreciate you keeping on-topic ONCE in a while..

    You know, common courtesy?

  6. avatar says:

So Dave…by your response I’m guessing it is true.

My comments ARE all about activisim. The Smalkowskis’ claim they hired AA exactly for the purpose of speaking out…

My comments are exactly ON topic…

Activism- : a doctrine or practice that emphasizes direct vigorous action especially in support of or opposition to one side of a controversial issue

jesus freakin christ phreedm. Have you never heard the old saying, people who live in glass houses?. So because AA purportedly failed in this matter, you expect its members to drop to thier knees, grab thier fairytale books and wait for jesus to rapture them.

The Smalkowski Family asked for help from AA and for good or not, got it. Not one person in the history of the world ever asked the same of your god or his bastard offspring and received as much as a screw you.
The Ssmalkowski family might be upset with AA but I am willing to bet you they are not talking to the sky about it.

    OT alert

The connection between the jewish community and Bernard Madoff begins to unfold.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/27/us/27religion.html?_r=2&emc=eta1

Of course stories like this will be quashed by the jewish dominated news and entertainment industry.

Speaking of jewish dominated news just look at todays line-up on MSNBC’s “Meet The Press with David Gregory” to discuss Israeli’s latest lopsided attack on the Palestinians:

Plus, insights and analysis on the conflict in Gaza from: NBC’s Richard Engel, The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, BBC World News America’s Katty Kay, Al-Arabiya’s Hisham Melhem, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell and The New York Times’ David Sanger.

At least three of these commenntators are jewish (Goldberg, Mitchell, Gregory).

Over on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” the only guest speaking on this issue is Israeli President Shimon Peres.

This is a grotesque state for our media. This is what unchallenged religiously based tribalism gets you.

    Comments Dave?

Read the foreign media, which isnt under zionist control, for the real story on israel and Palestine.

  10. avatar neowolfe says:

“What” posted a previous comment regarding Madoff followed by a supporting post by godless in which he quoted:

“This is a grotesque state for our media. This is what unchallenged religiously based tribalism gets you.”

I watch CNN, as a source for most of my news, and in their defense, I found their coverage to have been very balanced, giving spokesman on both sides of the issue equal opportunity present their cases.

As for what and godless, your rant is very reminiscent of “zionist conspiracy” theory belched up by the KKK. Particularly clear is the post by What, referring to Madoff, seeming to imply that all Jews are bad.

Well, I don’t feel like flinging another string of pearls into the pigpen, I just want to thank you both for proving my point, that just because you don’t believe in religion does mean you are an enlightened individual. It explains why you don’t understand what I mean when I say “freethinker”. Do you understand what I mean when I call you a “nematod?”

  11. avatar neowolfe says:

Correction: should read does NOT mean you are an enlightened individual. Unfortunate place for a typo, lol. Maybe it was a Freudian slip and subconsciously they are really my heroes. lmao.

  12. avatar dsilverman says:

    So…

How about that desktop “weekend activism”?  Cool huh?

  13. avatar tarma says:

ON topic. Trying, Dave. Okay, the Blogged site I get, but I don’t quite understand what the Toplist thing is about or what you’re supposed to do once you get there(?)

Will Digg some articles when I can get the time, I promise.
