I spent most of this year on unemployment, and I will get every dime back and then some from the government, I didn’t need a deduction.
I could ill afford this sacrifice, but, for thousands of years, farmers have left their fields and confronted the invading hoards. As a soldier, it must mean something when your struck down to look up at a dimming sky and feel like the choices you made were for the best.
Maybe we are the lucky ones, to have lived to witness the dawn of “Free Thought”. Keep up the good work, Dave. Spend it wisely.

I was laid off November 24th, my State of Ohio looks bleak for future employment. So Neo, I understand your sacrifice.
Oh, I know.
My business is dwindling, and my wife is unemployed. And my
House was devalued. And things better turn around fast.
BUT, I just donated money on top of the time I put in, because the money is needed and the cause is important. We understand some can’t do much, and some can’t do at all, but for those that can, Please give what you can.
There will be no “turn around” in home values. The bubble burst and now a new equilibrium will be found. I predict that nationally the median home price will definitely return to year 2000 prices and, depending upon how aggressively Obama acts to shore-up middle class stability (following their rape by the uber-riche), they may go much lower.
As far as employment goes I think we will have 18 months of really bad news (double digit unemployment? Oh yeh.) followed by brighter days. But the unstable and to-good-to-be-true Ponzi-scheme-based economy of the last 25+ years is gone for good – or at least until a new generation of Reaganomics suckers is born.
