I have never experienced more virulent homophobia like I have here in NC from the black community so I suppose that I shouldnt be surprised.. <br /> For all of you blacks who would deny gays equality here is a big fat FUCK YOU! I know there will be hard times ahead, but for this week, everything is wonderful. <br /> <br /> Except for Prop. 8, of course. I still think the state of California should not allow professional religious people to perform legal marriage ceremonies. Everybody, straight and gay, should be married by a court employee, with a civil wedding being the only legal way to get married. All the ones who want the blessing of the big daddy in the sky can have whatever ceremony tickles their fancy. But it will not be the legal ceremony. <br /> <br /> And I am very happy about Dole being defeated. Except for Prop. 8, of course. I still think the state of California should not allow professional religious people to perform legal marriage ceremonies. Everybody, straight and gay, should be married by a court employee, with a civil wedding being the only legal way to get married. All the ones who want the blessing of the big daddy in the sky can have whatever ceremony tickles their fancy. But it will not be the legal ceremony.

And I am very happy about Dole being defeated. She was Not a good senator at all.

Can we sing “Happy Days Are Here Again” all the rest of the week?
