As far as I’m concerned, the Repubs by nominating Palin, completely slapped the non religious voter in the face. Lets say only 20% were marginal Republicans. That would mean that 2% of voters changed their allegiance thanks to Palin’s nomination. That is a 4% swing.

And you guys in the states tend to have very close elections to begin with….4% is huge.
