O’Reilly is pretty naive and just down right nonsensical when he tried to marginalize the fact that 10% of Americans are non religious.
10% is huge when it comes to swaying an election.
As far as I’m concerned, the Repubs by nominating Palin, completely slapped the non religious voter in the face. Lets say only 20% were marginal Republicans. That would mean that 2% of voters changed their allegiance thanks to Palin’s nomination. That is a 4% swing.
And you guys in the states tend to have very close elections to begin with….4% is huge.
