FORUM – POLITICS & RELIGION ED BUCKNER, President of American Atheists will be a panelist this Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at the University of West Georgia focusing on “THINGS YOU DON’T TALK ABOUT AT PARTIES: A FORUM ON POLITICS AND RELIGION.” Dr. Buckner will be joined by author Rick Halpern and Rev. Steve Davis of the Carrollton First Baptist Church. Panelists will discuss a wide range of topics suggested by the students, including religion, state-church separation, electoral and moral issues as well. “I’ve spoken here before at the invitation of Dr. Lori Lipoma and students at West Georgia, so I know it will be a stimulating and interesting evening,” said Dr. Buckner. “I look forward to talking about American Atheists and American politics and religion.” The event is free and open to the public.     You can talk about any past religious leader at a party and everyone will do fine….until one brings up Jesus Christ…then everyone gets nervous or angry…
