Is Atlanta where we can reach the most people to do the most good ? I would love it if the convention would be Oklahoma City, Topeka, Kansas City, Birmingham, cities where we are not wanted. Cities where we could possible change some hearts and minds.Where we could possibly show the most amount of believers and people who just might question a little that yes this is what an atheist looks like and we are not mean people. Just to possible help someones transformation a little. Hell, I never met another atheist until I went to the convention in Philadelphia years ago. Whatever and see you in Atlanta, ladies I`m single.

You mean the Convention is actually here in the Southeast? Glory hallelujah! I just might be able to get there this time. I hope we can reach believers in Georgia, North and South Carolina. I am going to the NC State Fair today and identify myself as an Atheist at the Bible Broadcasting Network's booth and to the Gideons and the sectarians as well. I'm looking forward to my first Convention-- If I'm working then I'll find a way to get off and go to Atlanta.

I was brought up in Georgia, so I know they need to hear the word.

It is too far for me to travel from California, but I hope to attend the next convention that is held on the West Coast. I am very much alone in a town full of church going Republicans. I need contact with my own kind.

Great! I live in GA, so I'll actually be able to attend this time! I'm finally eligible for benefits at work now, and now I know where I'm using some of my paid vacation days :-) Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you in person.

Wow. Atlanta. Close enough for me to maybe make it this year. Will still depend on finances though.

To ga4ry:
Worse. I'm in Santa Maria, with a church on every corner. Once upon a time I lived in Charlotte, NC, and thought I would be suffocated by the churchiness, but parts of California are even holier than Charlotte.
