FemBush: God gave us Oil!

Palin says God blessed America with oil and gasBy MIKE BAKER Associated Press WriterArticle Launched: 10/16/2008 03:52:27 PM MDTELON, N.C.?Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Thursday that God blessed the nation with oil and gas resources and other forms of energy that should be tapped to reduce U.S. dependence on foreign suppliers. The Alaska governor told supporters at Elon University that she and GOP presidential nominee John McCain will develop new energy sources.”God has so richly blessed this land, not just with the oil and the gas, but with wind and the hydro, the geothermal and the biomass,” Palin said. “We’ll tap into those.”

Of course, it doesn’t say anything like this in the Bible, but that’s OK. They just make it up anyway. I guess God gave a lot MORE oil to the Moslems, but none to the Jews.

But hey…what does it matter if he’s lied…again. You’ll be able to trust him tomorrow…

Well, that did it for me. I mean, there is no more reliable source than Moammar Gaddafi on wheather or not Obama is a Muslim.

First you blast him for hangin’ with Rev. Wright for 20 years, and now you say that because Gaddafi calls him a Muslim, he must be one. I think you need to look up the word ‘apostacy’ to see why Muslims would want Obama dead, and not in the White House, if what you say is true.

Here’s what I think of your video:

    Ren,

Yeah, that speaks volumes doesn’t it? He’s going to take Gaddafi’s word over well documented facts.

    So Phreedm,

Should we be keeping an eye on you? When Obama wins, are you going to try and pull a Lee Harvey Oswald in order to save us from the evil-muslim-nationalist-terrorist-social_ist-negro?

You people are starting to scare me.

Sadly, it would not surprise me if some anti-Obama activist had put his/her own translation over the speech. At the point I have almost zero trust in the accuracy of any right wing message. Their track record has, and still does, show them to be untruthful and untrustworthy.

Great little AP article on the phony ACORN controversy that’s sprung up these past weeks:

ACORN spokesman Brian Kettenring retaliated this week in a series of conference calls and interviews. “What we’re seeing is the manufacture of a crisis, and attempts to smear Sen. Obama with it. It gives you an excuse should you lose or if there’s a contested outcome of the election.

    Ramen to that!

Voter fraud is rare in the United States, according to a 2007 report by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law. Based on reviews of voter fraud claims at the federal and state level, the center’s report asserted most problems were caused by things like technological glitches, clerical errors or mistakes made by voters and by election officials.

“It is more likely that an individual will be struck by lightning than he will impersonate another voter at the polls,” the report said.

Alex Keyssar, a professor at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, calls the current controversy “chapter 22 in a drama that’s been going on awhile. The pattern is that nothing much ever comes from this. There have been no known cases of people voting fraudulently.”

“What we’ve seen,” Keyssar said, “is sloppiness and someone’s idea of a stupid joke, like registering as Donald Duck.”

It’s the lamentable manufacturered controversies such as the Ayers and Acorn “issues” that convey the impression that McCain/Palin are not to be given the benefit of the doubt.

Ayers, Acorn, Abortion? When are they going to move on the the B’s?

First of all, I said “what if”…

But what’s more interesting is that everyone on this board believes that Bush actually said “God told him to go to war”…

Source…? One Palestinian who was suppose to have attended a meeting with other leaders and Bush. No recording. No transcript. No one else at that meeting heard what this one individual claims…yet you believe him…

Here we have a leader of a muslim nation telling his people, television, translated by Al Jazeera, that this leader believes NObama is a muslim…

    And you pass…

I guess you missed Jessie Jackson’s comments last week…or Louis Farrakhan calling NObama the “messiah”…

But hey, what do they know…

    Phreedm,

First of all, that is not at all what you said. Do you take me for a fool? You said:

But hey…what does it matter if he’s lied…again. You’ll be able to trust him tomorrow…

That’s quite a bit different than saying “what if he’s really a muslim?” Your original question was loaded in such a way as to imply the accusation as a foregone conclusion, and you know it.

But what’s more interesting is that everyone on this board believes that Bush actually said “God told him to go to war”…

Um… I’m pretty sure you could do an extensive search of my comments on this site (or any other site I comment on) and never find an example of me citing Bush as saying “God told me to go to war.” I was not aware of this Palestinian source, and the closest incident I was aware of is Bush’s own claim of taking a long walk and praying before he made the decision – something I really couldn’t give a shit about.

Nor do I give a shit about what Jessie Jackson says (washed up also-ran of the civil rights movement,) what Farrakhan says (swindling cult leader,) or, especially, mutherfuckin’ Moammar Gaddafi! I mean, seriously? All three of these guys barely make sense whenever they open their mouths; all three have a record of dishonesty (I’m probably being a little unfair of lumping Jackson in with the other two, but I certainly think he’s been a poor leader.) Why should any of us care, yourself included, what those three say about Obama?

On the other hand, we’ve got the venerable Colin Powell setting the record straight:

Ren, you’re confusion is as deep as is the racism of our society. You claim a handle. How would you present your handle to our culture? Colon Powell trusts him as a president? He trusts him more than he trusts McBush. Do you secretly wish he would lead us into a third war with Iran? Do you think he has the judgement to make such a decision, or does his second should he croak? First grader questions for college level applicants.

I wish Colin Powell would have just kept has lying yap shut. Obama doesn’t need the endorsement of a war monger whose cartoon antics at the UN in 2003 helped propel us into the ill-fated Invasion of Iraq.

Ren’s confusion? I have absolutely no idea what those two sentences of yours mean.

    Nice to see you back.

Ren, you’re confusion is as deep as is the racism of our society.

Wow, that’s pretty deep. I am confused right now. Trying to figure out WTF you are saying is like trying to read heiro, hirogl, hyroglyph… fucking pictographs, okay?

You claim a handle. How would you present your handle to our culture?

    ?!?!

Do you secretly wish he would lead us into a third war with Iran?

Pssst! He, who? And regardless of the answer; NO!

First grader questions for college level applicants.

At least we can agree on one thing. Those questions had all the markings of ones that might be asked by a first grader.

I implore you. Please don’t imbibe and blog. Wait until you have your head about you and then we can have intelligible interlocution.

    Toodles.
