Who is the real Joe The Plumber?

OBAMA FIRES A 'ROBIN HOOD' WARNING SHOT

"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the blue-collar worker asked.

After Obama responded that it would, Wurzelbacher continued: "I've worked hard . . . I work 10 to 12 hours a day and I'm buying this company and I'm going to continue working that way. I'm getting taxed more and more while fulfilling the American Dream."

"It's not that I want to punish your success," Obama told him. "I want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success, too.

Earth to Barry...there's a reason why they're behind an achiever...

Here's the question...do you support NObama's plan to spread the wealth around...?

Dave...that would target you also...
Phreedm,

Um, yes I watch youtube as well.

Earth to Barry...there's a reason why they're behind an achiever...
This point of view pisses me off no end, that somehow money is the measure of all achievement. I make quite a bit below 200k. I support my family, my wife and our three children, on a little more than a quarter of that (in a fairly high COL area,) and I've had to work my ass off to get to us here. When I first started posting on this blog, I was a full time student with a full time job and a new baby. I came out at the very top of my class and my choice of jobs in a very competitive industry. And now, after carefully honing my craft and making the right connections for the past three years, I've landed a senior position at an agency I've idolized since first becoming interested in web design. Are you going to call me an underachiever?

Or better yet, how about the example of a good friend of mine. Coming from a family of drug addicts and mother to three young children who's father she had to leave because of his alcoholism, she's now, through hard work and perseverance, won a free ride scholarship to attend the school of her choice. I'm certain she makes less than 20k a year, and she's had to rely heavily on state assistance through many hard times. Yet she is by far the hardest working person I know, and I'm quite certain she's going to come out of all this a great success (and as far as I'm concerned, she already is.) Are you going to call her an underachiever as well?
