I saw it today and thought it was great. He pulled no punches when dealing with the three big religions and some of the smaller cults too. Part of it was even filmed right here in Raleigh, NC. Go see it.
saw it last night with the wife and daughters. There were some funny moments but a lot of sobering ones as well. overall a good flick exposing religious foolery across the board.

I saw it and thought it was great. My only disappointment: The theater was only about 20% full.

My Son(19) and I (both atheists) are going to see it on Monday due to our schedules. We were both surprised it was playing at all in Oklahoma. Can't wait to see it and Buy the DVD.

Another good movie to see about wacky religious people is "Where is Osama Bin Laden"

I saw it and thought it was great. My only disappointment: The theater was only about 20% full.

The Railto theatre in downtown Raleigh where I saw it was absolutley packed and the audience obviously was enjoying the show based on the laughter and applause. Very encouraging.

Some theatres are reporting xian protesters.
I saw it opening Friday night and there was a good crowd but not capacity. Audience reaction indicated that I was in a theatre full of heathens. I'm afraid however that Bill Maher is preaching only to the saved: fundies won't see it. I want to see it again and then buy the DVD. By the way there were no religious protestors. The only movie I've seen with Christian protestors was The Last Temptation of Christ about 20 years ago.

A reporter once asked Mark Twain what he thought of a comic opera he'd just seen. Twain replied, "it was funny, but it wasn't damned funny."

That (and you should pardon the reference to damnation, heh heh!) was my feeling about Religulous. I went to see it Monday with a bunch of folks from our local atheist group and there was a fair crowd for a weekday performance. I did a lot of smiling and chuckling but I thought there were only a few real belly-laugh moments (like the look on Arkansas Senator Mark Pryor's face when he realizes he's admitted that... naw, I won't spoil it for you!). Mine was the minority opinion though. Most of our group was rolling in the aisles.
