So vote for Bob Barr, the Libertarian presidential candidate, who supports the First Amendement and never talks about his religion or lack thereof.

Yeah, our local guys are covering it and I'm going to try and listen and call in.

The America Bless God Campaign of Texas and The Word 98.5 & 99.3 KLGO FM Radio in Austin are doing a special edition of the Political Hope Radio Show. The show will air Saturday (Aug. 16) at 9 p.m. following the Saddleback Civil Forum on Leadership and Compassion. (That would be the ?debate? beween Obama and McCain moderated by Pastor Rick Warren.)

You can hear the forum on The Word starting at 7 p.m. Analysis on how the candidates addressed poverty, climate, AIDS and human rights, etc. will follow. Brent Bullock, a regular poster here, alerted me to the live airing and post-forum program. Sadly, I may not be able to participate (I?m working on that) but I?m hoping you fair readers will chime in. Local callers can dial 637-9673 (WORD). Out-of-town listeners may call toll-free (888) 860-9673.

And as an fyi, Brent provided this ?about us? blurb on the show:

The Political Hope Radio Show regularly airs each Sunday, at 4 pm. Guests include local political candidates, political party officials, and academic and professional topic experts. The program airs each Sunday at 4 pm on The Word - 98.5 & 99.3 - KLGO FM Radio. The program is available on FM radio and over the internet at www.theword993 dot com

Why should we listen to this "debate"? It's just going to be a Republican lovefest. Both Republican presidential candidates (McCain and Obama) will just try to outbid each other on the use of the "god card". It seems like a heck of a waste of time to me.

I'm not a bear. I'm just hoping to listen because Brent Bullock and I have a source we strongly disagree on, wallbuilders and David Barton. Depending on the topics and discussion I hope it gives me a reason to call in.

No thanks. I left church long ago. This will only serve to show how useless democracy is.

We should be pickting that megachurch during this event.
Joe Zamecki;

I agree...I think this event should be picketed... it's a little late to organize anything. But hopefully some people living near California will meet there for some kind of demonstration.
