Up here in the NW, you could get away with this in Seattle city limits, I'm sure, but forget the burbs, where there's a church of some sort (protestant, evangelical, you name it) every quarter mile. I have seen religious vanity plates here in NC (”4 Him”, “Pray”, etc) so I imagine that they wouldnt be able to reject an atheist plate on the grounds of equality. Try it and see even if you dont actually buy the plate but if you live anywhere in this state except here in Chapel Hill be ready to have your car vandalised.
