That was oddly uncomfortable to watch. Don't know if it was the parents' occasional encouraging 'amen's and 'praise the lord's (oblivious to how accurately depicted their own preacher is by a toddler) or the fact that I know this child is going to be irreversibly conditioned down this path of sermoning for the rest of his pre-programmed life...

As bad as it looks now, this kid might still fight off the mind-virus someday. I've heard enough stories of ex-preacher, now-atheists to maintain hope.

Christianity has only ever been spread by war and childhood indoctrination, never by persuasion. Christianity will always be limited by the ability of its adherents to win wars and force religion on others and/or to reproduce and force it upon the kids. That's not to mention the casualties from those religious wars.

Atheism, on the other hand, can be adopted by people at any stage of life, in any culture, peacefully. The spread of atheism is limited only by the inertia of cultural change and the higher reproduction rates of religious families. Atheism also has the benefit of allowing for cross-cultural understanding and agreement, whereas religious differences are only 'resolved' by violence.

Which movement has more of a future?

I think its funny to imagine that the babble this child is vomiting is equally as useless as the babble from a full grown minister.

Religion is so ridiculously simple and stupid, an infant can preach it.

Now, that's something to think about...
