You can’t regulate a church, because church’s can get away with practically anything in this country. I’m sure there are a lot of well meaning religious folks who will put this money put to good use, but there will also be many organizations who will exploit the hand out for everything it’s worth and the courts will probably back them up on it.

I dont dispute that many religious organisations do a lot of great social work but combined with their good deeds is religious prostelisation and discrimination based on sexual orientation (among other traits) which should disqualify them from receiving government funds. This is the real issue, not the good works that these faith based groups do.
