Well please tell Ellen that there are members that are waiting to hear her side and will take there support elsewhere if we don’t.

One of the things this member would like to see happen is for the board of directors to communicate more directly with the membership. I’m not talking about situation with Ellen Johnson, specifically, but a general lack of communication about who they are and what their objectives are for the organization.

Perhaps in the redesign of the web site, there should be a section devoted to the board members, so that we, at least, know who they are, how they got there and what they hope to achieve.

As for the Ellen Johnson firing, it’s seems that, if Ellen is still on the board, there are lines of communication open. I would hope the board members would all sit down and consider how to move forward and make the organization stronger. Whether or not that means reinstating Ellen, assuming she actually wants to be reinstated, is up to the parties involved.

And if, in the minds of the majority of board members, reinstatement is no longer an option, then I think the membership needs to know that, if for no other reason than to end the speculation.

In any event, good luck to you and Kathleen Johnson. I’m sure your addition to the board will be a plus.
