Funny guy, yes.
Relevant to this blog, NO!

A dead comedian from a jewish background.... did he condemn judaism and religion, condemn Israel,...? Did he even consider himself to be "jewish"? Did he ever talk about religion?

His death is big news on all the jewish blogs and websites, why the imitation?

You ignore that in Israel, Orthodox Jews set fire to hundreds of copies of the New Testament in the latest act of violence against Christian missionaries in the "Holy Land" and that the racist, apartheid theocratic state and American zionists celebrate the anniversary of ethnically cleansing Palestine (the Nakba) to make a post about Harvey's death.

Here are some other topics you could have made a post about:

- Tony Blair stating ?Religious faith will be of the same significance to the 21st Century as political ideology was to the 20th Century,? before his launch in New York of his new Faith Foundation.
- the debate between Martin Rees and Richard Dawkins at the Guardian Hay festival on whether scientists should form a closer alliance with mainstream religion in order to better fight extremism.
- Dunkin' Donuts pulls Rachael Ray ad after complaints from those such as Michelle Malkin, that Ray's scarf resembled a keffiya, a traditional middle eastern scarf of no religious affiliation, but believed by
neocons to represent islamic extremism and terrorism.
- Bahrain's king has appointed a woman believed to be the Arab world's first Jewish ambassador as the country's envoy to Washington. (Jewish describes religion,Arab describes religion; the majority of jews in the mideast are Arabs; there is no such thing as an "Israeli-Arab conflict" since most jews in Israel are arabs)
- Baghdad Jews are even fewer. Just over half a century ago, Iraq's Jews numbered more than 130,000. But now, in the city that was once the community's heart, they cannot muster even a minyan, the 10 Jewish men required to perform some of the most important rituals of their faith.
- Hardline Sunni clerics accused Shiites Sunday of destabilizing Muslim countries and humiliating Sunnis, just days before a Muslim interfaith conference called by Saudi Arabia's king.
- Muslim extremist women are challenging al-Qaida's refusal to include - or at least acknowledge - women in its ranks.
- the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has acknowledged that the quincea?eras, the latin american coming-of-age ritual, can offer an opportunity to direct young women toward the church at a time in their life when they might be lured elsewhere.

Discussing and debating these topics and how they affect us and the future of humanity all would have been a better choice.

SecularMan
Yes,Jews need to be called out on bad behavior just like anyone else, but I think you would be happier somewhere that bashes Isreal on a more frequent basis.Dead comedians are just not your cup of tea are they now?
