Senators Brownback and Lieberman have introduced S. Res. 483 ‘A resolution recognizing the first weekend of May 2008 as “Ten Commandments Weekend”. I have created a legislative alert to get as many of us who oppose this type of pandering legislation as possible to write to their Senators about our objections.Thank you for all your support.Peter Nuhn

How is it that the Republicans can get away with money wasters like this and still have a reputation for spending less? Ugh.
I have a lot of respect for the smaller government ideals, but I think there are precious few politicians actually interested in it.
Religion does not need the government’s help. The only thing the government should be concerning itself with is protecting the freedom of and from religion. If a religion can’t stand on it’s own two feet then it should be allowed to fail, likewise with atheism.
I sent two paper letters to my senators, which I printed using the link in this article. I urge you all to do the same.
Uh, can anybody say “Establishment Clause”? or “separation of church and state”? Don’t these dimwits get the idea here? We’re not a theocracy, and that should be enough. (Alas, were it that simple…)
I just sent off 2 emails, and i plan on calling later today.
Just a note, I put up a bulletin on my myspace giving people the info and the links straight to my states senator’s email system. That should help the lazy ones….
I have to say, I’m DISGUSTED this would ever come up. Who thinks of this shit?
