More on H. Res. 888 to designate the first week of May each year as “American Religious History Week”

H. Res. 888 now has 72 sponsors and is still an abomination with all its lies. It should be called the Pandering Congressmen’s Pro-Christian Resolution (PCP).Chris Rodda with the Military Religious Freedom Foundation writing on the Talk2action.org site has been instrumental in providing the debunking of the numerous Whereas’ in this resolution that provide a revisionist history of religion in the US.Please join American Atheists in fighting this despicable and deplorable resolution in the House of Representatives. Thanks for you do to promote and maintain our Constitutional rights to freedom of religion and freedom from religion.Peter Nuhn

    The link above goes to a resolution cancelling Haiti’s debts. I’m confused.

    It sure did Tarma and I don’t understand it because it said “H. Res. 888″ but went instead to “H. R. 888″. I have fixed it though. PN

    Mississippi is the most atheist state in the nation belonging to the church is like belonging to communist party in china it is what you do to get ahead in the state.this is true over the biblebelt its how we run things remember if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.i concede if the church keeps having scandals we will have to come up with something else but one thing is for sure people like being in a group.

    I think just showing them that there are opposing informed citizens is helpful. :) If we don’t write they can semi-legitimately claim ignorance.
