Now This Is F$cking Scary

Christian Zionists Gain Israel’s Inner Sanctum The announcement indicates a major shift in agency policy. Nearly 10 years ago, the head of the Jewish Agency “refused to be photographed taking a check” from Eckstein. “Now, it has publicly, and apparently proudly, acknowledged that the IFCJ would be donating 45 million dollars to the agency over the next three years, almost all of it raised from evangelical Christians in North America,” according to The Forward. “Eckstein will also become a voting member” of the 26-member executive committee “and will gain seats on the budget and finance committee, which makes recommendations for how the Jewish Agency allocates its funds, and the coordinating committee, which meets with the prime minister and Cabinet members,” the Forward pointed out.”It’s not like all of a sudden you’re going to have Pat Robertson on the committee,” Eckstein joked.Peter Nuhn

    If phreedm was in websters:

    Main Entry: phreedm
: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of an atheist group with hatred and intolerance

    6. oil will reach $150 a barrel and the U.S. dollar will continue to fall:

    Wouldn’t that be interesting.

    (1) BushCo rises to power to serve the interests of global corporations
    (2) BushCo launches Iraq Invasion and pisses off South American oil producers.
    (3) Price of oil goes to $150/barrel.
    (4) Soaring transportation costs for the products of global corps makes locally produced products financially competitive.
    (5) Global corps die.

The theory of Ecological Succession applied to markets.

Don’t forget the accompanying illustration that looks remarkably like Alfred E. Newman.

  4. alexatheist says:

Bigot- a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

That sums up my attitude toward religion pretty accuratley. There is nothing wrong in being a bigot towards ignorance.

now that he is in is final yr bush decides that the misery of west bank arabs should end.i guess the rise of hamas in response to being treated like dirt got his attention.why couldn’t the bush who was candidate in 2000 have been the bush we actually got for president.there are 15,000 madrassas in pakistan with 1.5 million students they only teach radical islam.what a world the next president will have to operate in.

You are absolutely correct “there is nothing wrong in being a bigot towards ignorance”. That Phreeky loves tolerance when it is tolerance for his delusions. But he’s the first to belittle tolerance for others as being “PC”.

I don’t interact with the Phreek because his viewpoints are moving targets – always changing in order to adapt to being discredited in their previous form.

I’d like his thoughts on my adaptation of his fog analogy. Leaving aside the analogy is filled with so many flaws its surprising he can think at all, my point, while not impressive, must certainly have registered.

  8. KnowledgeIsPower says:

Perhaps we should discuss the logical fallacies inherent in bigotedness, or lack thereof.

    My point:

Bigot- a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

The definition phreedm so graciously provided. Does ‘any differing creed, belief, or opinion’ mean you must be intolerant of *all* differing creeds, beliefs, or opinions? Or does intolerance towards one specific creed, belief, or opinion still qualify as being ‘bigoted’? What if that intolerance is justified?

  9. what says:

Phreeky is making up his own definition of intolerant. To be tolerant in Phreekyland one must state “Maybe you are right” when another makes an assertion. This to be stated regardless of the other’s lack of evidence for the assertion. Whatsmore you are to not even offer up a probability of the assertion being true. In Phreekyland this would apply to everyone but xian theists. Let’s wait for Phreeky to say that the assertion “Gawds exist” is as valid as “Gawds do not exist”. Of course this is nonsense because there is no evidence for the existence of gawds and because one can not operationally define “gawds” and “existence” in a manner that makes the question anything but ill-posed.

  10. KnowledgeIsPower says:

Whatsmore you are to not even offer up a probability of the assertion being true.

That’s one of those flaws in phreedm’s fog analogy I was refering to. To assert that the probabilities of another car being on the road in the fog at the same time you are is even remotely similar to the assertion that God exists without any tangible evidence, simply points to phreedm’s inability to think before he posts.

Reminds me of the “Just Say ‘No!’” campaign. There are always those pesky kids who ask ‘Why?’.

Bush said that he would assure the security of Israel as a jewish state.

What damn business is it of the U.S. to assure the security of Israel, especially as an apartheid state?

As I have said before, Israel is not part of the U.S. and has nothing to do with the U.S.

A Palestinian blogger has made a montage of Israeli kids education.
