McCain will be the GOP nominee. That was the deal he cut with BushCo and the party machinery for running the straight talk express off the Iraq Invasion cliff. The SOB is trying to pass himself as an "agent for change". What a hoot.

Do we know anything about Obama's stand on religion-government issues important to atheists? It seems all the GOP members are tripping over themselves to be more Christian than the next guy. Maybe Rudy is the lone exception, and he is not making a good showing.

In a world of few or no great choices, the Clinton campaign seems to be too "old school" and yet, in a crisis, I think she(and Bill) would be the most able to think with a seasoned professional world view. They have been doing this all their adult lives, and they have first hand knowledge of how the system works. Hope Obama matures in a hurry or he will be so out of his league.

Hilary might not have the charisma but she has no use for a religious agenda either. She would stand up to the ID'ers. Maybe even reverse some of those faith based initiatives too.
IDism is merely one issue. Granted, near and dear to our hearts, but not enough to swing an election (maybe).

I'm more concerned with 'how' she intends to implement a national health care plan with a war in regress.
