I wish people would stop with the "atheists plus others" bullshit when all we're doing is talking about atheists.
I'm tired of other people curtailing to those that want to avoid the word "atheist".
It's time to realize that it's a fucking word, and it means you're "without belief in a god". You're a freakin atheist. No, you're not "just an agnostic", no, you're not a "non-theist", you're an atheist, deal with it and accept it.
So stop feeding into the idea that people are somehow "other than atheist" when they are without belief in gods. They are atheists. And if you're an idiot reading this, and you think you're not an atheist when you are without belief in a god, then yes, what I started off with fits you - you're an idiot.

Sorry, had to rant on one part of the end of this blog post.
Those types of people piss me off and annoy me just as much as people who like to say "PIN number", or "ATM machine", or whateverthefuck.

Hey there are more atheists now than Bush supporters! And we're trending upward. Maybe I will be able to run for a political office someday.

Interesting poll. The churches must be almost empty in France, Britain, and Germany. America looks very childish compared to Europe. Especially France seems to have almost completely thrown out religious insanity. I wonder what it would be like to live in a country like that. The biology teachers there are probably able to teach evolution without any christian thugs threatening them. Most Americans learn about magical creation before they learn anything about science, so it's no surprise American students score much lower in knowledge of science than European students.

I just read this today on a christian blog and millions of Americans would agree with this stupidity: "I believe and can say with all certainty that the Bible is the infallible, inspired, inerrant Word of the living God. The universe was created in six literal, 24 hour days about 6,000 years ago as revealed in the creation verses of the Bible."

There is probably nobody in France who is that insane.

I just read that christian quote in my last comment and I noticed the christian was talking about the entire universe, not just the earth, being only 6,000 years old. Compare 6,000 years to the actual age of the universe, over 13,000,000,000 years old. Somebody did the math and this would be equal to saying New York City is 24 feet from San Francisco. Millions of Americans believe in this 6,000 year old universe and they believe it was all magically created. How is it possible people can be this stupid? I don't get it.
