Well, I don't think he wants to be in the position of using someone else's words.

I don't know why we are focusing on Romney. All the Republicans seem to promote the xian faith over all others. I suspect all of them would love to mix religion and gov't. (Maybe with the exception of McCain - I hope he has more sense than that!)

Just because Romney's religion is more unknown, and therefore seems more "weird" we seem to be focusing on him.

Can you say "Bush with magic underwear"?
Hardly. Again, Mormonism is not Christianity?and it?s not a matter of how much faith one has, but what that faith is placed.
Is it wrong to put national interest AHEAD of mythology and personal religion?
Yes, if that personal religion is false; no if it?s in the God who created all things

Hardly. Again, Mormonism is not Christianity?and it?s not a matter of how much faith one has, but what that faith is placed.

Yes, if that personal religion is false; no if it?s in the God who created all things

Christopher Hitchens speaks of the book he has edited "Portable Atheist" with wingnut jesus freak Joe Scarborough.

http://richarddawkins.net/article,1946,Interview-with-Christopher-Hitchens,MSNBC-Morning-Joe

He brings up the Mittster.

All personal religion is false. As I sometimes say, god is just Santa Claus who doesn't give you presents.
OT, but too funny to not post.

Apparently nothing pre-dates xtians:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2007/12/04/sherri-shepherd-doesnt-g_n_75292.html

For whatever reason, the ladies on "The View" were discussing ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus this morning. Naturally, talk soon migrated to the topic of religion, and Sherri "I don't know if the world is flat" Shepherd came out to play. More specifically, to spew ignorance and a complete lack of understanding of basic world history! Discussing whether Christians were around during Epicurus' time (Epicurus lived from 341-270 B.C.), Sherri chimed in, "[The Greeks] had Christians 'cause they threw them to the lions."

When Whoopi tried to cautiously navigate her through the timeline of basic world events, saying, "I think this might predate that," Sherri responded, "I don't think anything predated Christians." Joy's attempt to explain the Greek-Roman-Christian chronology was futile, as Sherri insisted, "Jesus came first before them." Sherri's argument was all the more powerful due to her convincing "use your finger to write on the table" trick, but she can't fight the facts. Perhaps if Barbara were on today she would have explained THAT WHOLE B.C. THING (you know, as in, Before Christ).

I think I'm gonna puke!

Has anybody actually laid eyes on this jcc character? Do we even know if he has opposable thumbs?

Clearly it hasn't made its way through the sludge of jcc's mind (assuming he has one, that is) that should Mitt Romney become the nominee, and then the president, that jcc and his fellow xians who worship the RIGHT god in the RIGHT way, would find themselves with a president who just THINKS he's got the religious straignt skinny. Worse yet, Mitt would believe he is on the RIGHT PATH and jcc on the WRONG PATH.

Gosh jcc, me thinks this could get a little sticky for you since you seem to feel putting one's religious belief ahead of the national interest is A-ok.
