Wow! He went from being a piece of plastic in my drain (forcing me to miss a program about ID because he's planning to strike me down with lightning before Friday) to being a piece of funny performance art.

I now get the awe part. I'm waiting for the shock still.

Yay, Phreedm! God is directing almost all of the precipitation away from Georgia and toward the northeast.

He's the compassionate sort to give a little sprinkle when he could send a flood. Noah got one, why can't they?

Well, I didn't say what he was directing with which, of course, is his noodly appendage.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/extr-evol-w-220.html

This is an extremely well-done video that shows the obviousness of macro evolution (which I think is a silly distinction from "micro" evolution anyway) in a way that's really hard to deny. I'm glad they have added it in the last day or so.

So, Phreaky, looking at the arranged petri dishes of specimins of the exact same species of salamander on parts of a map of California they are collected from, how can you choose to not see evolution taking place? What do you think you see? It seems pretty clear that mutants of the same species have become adapted to their environment in ways that make the most sense. The best example, to me, was the bright red salamander that appears to be poisonous and survives because of its remarkable resemblance to actual poisonous newts that live in the area. Obviously humans are born with differences in skin coloration - which (according to your side of things) would have to be mere coincidence. A convenient coincidence it must be indeed that in the precise locales where dark skin color protects us from the most sun exposure (at and around the equator) it is prevalent. I wonder how often albinos are born near the equator and how long they survive. My guess: not often, and not long.

As for my earlier statement: the reason I believe that it's silly to try and make a distinction between macro and micro evolution is that they're essentially the same thing if you look at one simple fact.

Even the most complex multicellular organisms get their start from one cell. In humans - two haploid cells (sperm and egg) get together, pair off chromosomes and become one and only one cell. An asexually reproducing bacterium or a sexually reproducing paramecium also begin from one cell. The theory of abiogenesis (which is the actual theory the xians are most concerned about, and not the theory of evolution) is that everything got its start from one cell (from a non-living source i.e. no "parent"). Everything still gets its start from one cell.
