When that religious motto or other items get put up I think we also need the Treaty of Tripoli which is an official US document. Specifically the portion that has the US is not in any sense a christian nation.

Mandatory posting of "In God We Trust" in classrooms has been state law for quite some time here in Mississippi.

That's probably why we're leading the country in all the important indicators of success.

"This is not an issue of religion"

This is another example of the dishonesty of god nuts. Nobody can lie like the moron christians.

"To say 'In God We Trust' isn't religious is ridiculous, but since Congress made it a national motto"

It's on our money but who said it's a national motto? "In the Magic Man We Trust" is certainly not my motto.

"we can't really stop them from placing this divisive dogma in the classroom"

Why not? There's no reason to compromise with christian thugs. If they are allowed to get away with this, they will just try something else.

If only I was a student in the hick town of Bakersfield. I would be swearing at that brainless school administration every day. These subhumans are nothing less than traitors. Anyone who doesn't respect our First Amendment should be thrown out of our country, preferably after being tortured first to teach them a lesson. Did I mention I don't like holy rollers?

Off-topic: On some retarded christian website I was asked for evidence of macroevolution. I supplied tons of evidence. My evidence has been "awaiting moderation" for 2 days now. Christians ask stupid questions and then they censor the answers.

Also off topic: You all absolutely must see this YouTube video from the Secular Party of Australia.

"Mandatory posting of 'In God We Trust' in classrooms has been state law for quite some time here in Mississippi."

It's always the most backward hick-infested states that do this. The stupidity of christians is massive.

The moron-infested state of Mississippi received the grade "F" for their public school science standards. "A few lines of evidence for evolution are touched upon, but Mississippi takes remarkable pains to avoid using the word 'evolution,' which might alone justify the grade F."

The magic man invention was a terrible mistake. It makes people immoral, violent, and stupid. Somehow a way must be found to stamp out all supernatural beliefs. It may take centuries to wipe out the god curse, but it must be done. I suggest non-stop ridicule of all holy rollers.

Yeah, two years ago when the 10C monument at the Austin Capitol was challenged our Attorney General said it had a secular purpose and I almost choked at his straight face while he said it.

"This is not an issue of religion," said poster supporter Paul Press. "It has only become that because it was brought up by a board member who happens to be a preacher."

I'm sure believers around the world will all rejoice to know that trusting in Gawd is not an issue of religion.

Reply to BobC:

I'd like to politely disagree with you. I find the whole tone of your post inflammatory; for example I can't agree at all with torturing Christians prior to throwing them out of the country. This is a free country and that means freedom to believe in religion.

At the same time I would agree that these people who are forcing religion on children in the form of religious slogans on the walls of schools are betraying American values and so are in a limited sense traitors.

Instead of being forceful I think it would be more clever to think more cleverly and point out the inherent weakness of religious people who have to resort to posting mottoes on school walls in order to make their beliefs prominent. They can't argue the basis of their beliefs so they have to be forceful about it. Atheists would do best to point out this position of weakness that has been adopted by some theists.

They can't convince people by reasoning and evidence so they have to stoop to force.
