It turns out, breaking federal law does NOT guarantee you will get elected!
(AP) Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher, a Republican whose lone term was dogged by a hiring scandal, lost badly Tuesday despite an election-eve effort to woo conservative voters by displaying the Ten Commandments in the state Capitol.
Too bad. One less law-breaker in government. Can we prosecute him for breaking the law? Hmmm…

We had a canidate here that I was in total agreement with right up to the last lines of his stated positions. He would see that the 10 commandments would be put back in our courts and prayer back in school. Needless to say, voted against him. That was here in Virginia.
DD, here in Mississippi we had a Democrat running for governor who was anti-choice, promised to bring prayer back to schools, and blathered endlessly about his faith in Jeeeezus.
He was beaten by the relatively secular Republican.
