They tend to have a lot of background noise, like squeaking chairs and various bumping sounds. They also move away from the microphone for extended periods while not raising their voices to compensate, not to mention loudly brushing up against the microphone sometimes. I understand it's a new podcast, so there are going to be problems, but I haven't really noticed any improvement in the quality since the first episode. I just think they need to focus on making it more enjoyable for the listener before bringing in guests like Ellen. That's just my opinion, though.
