Well, it’s over, the “Chrystal Clear Atheism” Convention for the AAI 2007. I must say, I was impressed. The five keynotes, Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, Dennett, and Hirsi Ali all gave different and interesting speeches, highlighting the many facets of Atheism, underlined by a common goal. All the speakers had a lot of fans, and they seemed to be pleased to be here (although dawkins was obviously overwhelmed by his own popularity).I am thrilled to have been a part of this event. My talk went over well, to an overflow crowd, and even Ellen showed up to show her support for “cause unity”.American Atheists looks forward to working with AAI as our relationship grows and expands.

Dave:
Saw your presentation. It was superb! My wife and I both really enjoyed. Is there any way to get a copy of your briefing? In addition you might put together a nice foldable PDF collection of your talking points to keep in our wallets or pockets to review on a regular basis. Many of us have wanted to be able to discuss and debate but haven’t had the talking points until you, Dawkins, Hitchens, et el. This type of material (in a condensed form) would really help us!
Thanks again.
david
please put your talk in the AA magazine.btw the way the other day you called yourself a cultural jew do you get much grief from religious jews.
Dave,
What crcowan said! (except that I didn’t see your presentation – sorry)
FYI
You may purchase DVDs of all or part of the convention though the AAI
website in October. The cost will be $25 for your choice of day/event or $75
for the entire disk set (plus postage).
Dave,
Are you featured on any of these
DVDs?
I think so. They taped the whole presentation and I believe the DVD is all-inclusive. Maybe I’ll post the slides on-line…
Dave, you rock!! You’re presentation was great and one of the most practical presentations at the convention. Please, make your PP & talk available, cus if we are going to be “Out Atheists” (see the Dawkins campaign), we need to be better prepared for how to handle the assaults.
