My daughter's school system plans to have a Constitution unit in the schools that week. Her class will discuss the C and make their own classroom constitution. She has 5th graders and hopes not to get into anything too controversial. (She's rather timid, not kick-ass like Barbiebrains! ;) ) I've volunteered to do their constitution on parchment in calligraphy for them to hang in their classroom, hopefully next to a copy of the real deal. <br /> I think teaching the Treaty of Tripoli would be an excellent idea, after the teaching of the first amendment. Now, I’m as terrified as the next Atheist, but this doesn’t really tell us what “Most Americans” believe. It tells us what “Most Americans beyond middle age” believe.

I’d really like to know the numbers for all age groups. I’m afraid they’d be similar, but there is at least some hope for this planet’s future.
