As much as I agree with Kathy, and as much as I loathe Donohue, let's report the whole story. The bleeped out bits are probably from the remainder of her speech:

Can you believe this sh1t? Hell has frozen over. Suck it, Jesus, this award is my god now.

Do note the selfcensoring nature of news agencies such as The Associated Press that censored the part above. It's not only censure before censure, it also acts as a divide, since an opinion forms that the only thing even mildly insulting is Kathy's first comment. It's Jyllands-Posten all over again. *sigh*

If I could think of a way to make the Emmys lower on my radar screen, I’d do it. But, censoring notwithstanding, I already have no interest in the show.

Maybe I’m missing something… it’s “OK” to thank Jesus on national television while accepting an Emmy, but it’s not “OK” to say Jesus had nothing to do with winning an Emmy? Yup, that makes perfect sense.

The comedian’s remarks were condemned Monday by Catholic League President Bill Donohue, who called them a “vulgar, in-your-face brand of hate speech.”

This coming from a man who funnels HUGE dollars into attorneys? pockets to protect Catholic money from the victims of Catholic priests.
