As much as I agree with Kathy, and as much as I loathe Donohue, let's report the whole story. The bleeped out bits are probably from the remainder of her speech:

Can you believe this sh1t? Hell has frozen over. Suck it, Jesus, this award is my god now.

Do note the selfcensoring nature of news agencies such as The Associated Press that censored the part above. It's not only censure before censure, it also acts as a divide, since an opinion forms that the only thing even mildly insulting is Kathy's first comment. It's Jyllands-Posten all over again. *sigh*

Maybe I’m missing something… it’s “OK” to thank Jesus on national television while accepting an Emmy, but it’s not “OK” to say Jesus had nothing to do with winning an Emmy? Yup, that makes perfect sense.

The comedian’s remarks were condemned Monday by Catholic League President Bill Donohue, who called them a “vulgar, in-your-face brand of hate speech.”

This coming from a man who funnels HUGE dollars into attorneys? pockets to protect Catholic money from the victims of Catholic priests.

Donahue is a real piece of work. I really love how completely ignorant everything that comes out of his mouth. As for KG, I emailed the Emmy people and told them to tell Bill to SUCK IT!

You got to really feel sorry for the poor Roman Catholic Church. I mean a lone actress can bring down their entire multi-century religion with just one line on an entirely meaningless award show.

They also suffered big time when an artist working in CHOCOLATE made a crucifix. Poor, poor Catholics.

Chocolate and actresses prove beyond all doubt that the RCC is totally and entirely irrelevant.

what is censored is not the problem. The problem is the catholic church calling it a hate speech because she said that it was not Jebus that gave her the award.

If that is hate, can you imagine what would have been said had she thanks alah?

Why the hell should we care about this? Shouldn’t the E! channel be allowed to show whatever they want on their network? Getting mad about something this irrelevant is just as absurd as Bill Donohue getting upset about what Kathy Griffin said. I can’t believe that religious extremists killed 3000 Americans six years ago today, and the post of the day is about an irrelevant network “censoring” an irrelevant comedian’s comments on an irrelevant awards show.
