Bin Laden Video proves Atheist wrong

Yup. It appears I was wrong in my assertion that Bin Laden was dead. This guy is alive and talking about recent events, so it’s either a really good fake or this guy is in fact still alive. Why he hates to use his cam-corder I guess I’ll never know. This actually makes me feel a bit better. In my mind the US Government was hiding the death of Bin Laden to keep us scared and to support the war. Now, I’m actually hoping they are not THAT evil. I guess that remains to be seen.

    What,

I like your thinking and I’m hoping with everything in me that you are right.

From what I see though, it looks to me like huge new churches and xian schools are popping up on nearly every corner about as fast as they can make bricks.

    What,

I wish I could say I agree. But I think you’re discounting the enormous momentum needed for real social change.

It took the gay community 30 years to get where they are today, I can’t imagine it will take us any less than 15. And I’d bet the number is even higher.

I do agree that the so-called Religious Right movement will lose a large amount of influence in the coming years. But they’re not going to crash and burn. Religious sheep have been eating up lies for thousands of years, why should they stop now?

This government, its foul little war, and its incompetence in regulating the banking industry was all brought to us by the fanatical xian enablers of BushCo.

The deepest recession in any of our lifetimes will be upon us very soon. Meanwhile 100s of billions will have been squandered in Iraq. All brought to us by the fanatical US xians enablers.

You want to see “momentum” ? It’s coming like f’n freight train through a flock of sheep.

Later in his speech, Bush recounted how Howard had gone to visit “Austrian troops” last year in Iraq. There are, in fact, no Austrian troops there. But Australia has about 1,500 Australians military personnel in and around the country.

Upon finishing his speech, Bush took the wrong way off-stage and, looking slightly perplexed, had to be re-directed by Howard to a center-stage exit.

Jeebus, that man’s an idiot. I guess that’s what America gets when they vote for a “drinking buddy” rather than an “elitist”.

Sounds like old W may be off the wagon.

    What,

I hope you’re right, I really do. But the way the dems have been pandering to the religious frightens me.

MoveOn was right to pose the question “Petraeus or Betray US” in the NYTimes. The SOB pulled a Colin Powel and betrayed us all with his cherry picking, pseudo-assessment and outright lies. Oh well, add another idiot to the GOP bonfire in 2008.

Al Qaeda Al Qaeda Al Qaeda Al Qaeda Al Qaeda Al Qaeda Al Qaeda Al Qaeda. What a bunch of crap!. The so-called Al Qaeda of Iraq, if they exist at all and that’s a BIG if, represents at most 2% of the sunni-based gorillas. Both of those SOBs, Petraeus and Crocker, should be tried for treason right along side Powel and the rest of BushCo.

    What…take a deep breath…

Give facts man…all you do is sound like a blithering idiot…

Exactly how has Petraious or Crocker lied…? Facts…not opinions…not emotions…Facts…Back up your rant with actual evidence to support your claim…

You christians really should start a side show with the traveling circus. Oh wait! You’ve already done that haven’t you.

Come on christies, give us some more silly shit to laugh at.

We in fact did not go after Osama with vigor.

    So very true…

During a February 2002 speech, Clinton explained that he turned down an offer from Sudan for bin Laden’s extradition to the U.S., saying, “At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America, so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him.”

But that wasn’t exactly true. By 1996, the 9/11 mastermind had already been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing by prosecutors in New York.

9/11 Commissioner former Sen. Bob Kerrey said that Clinton told the Commission during his private interview that reports of his comments to the LIA were based on “a misquote.”

During his interview with the 9/11 Commission, Clinton was accompanied by longtime aide and former White House counsel Bruce Lindsey, along with former national security advisor Sandy Berger, who insisted in sworn testimony before Congress in Sept. 2002 that there was never any offer from Sudanese officials to turn over bin Laden to the U.S.

  14. avatar jshanewhit says:

    Well phreed,

I have no doubt that some of Clinton’s policy and actions were not the best that could have been hoped for. I still think he is the only rational president we have had in my lifetime(1967 to present). He did not attack Osama with more than a few cruise missles because he was able to be thwarted so easily. There were several Osama plans to attack us on our shores during his presidency, and they were pretty laughable and easily thwarted. There are plenty of groups, cells, or cults that will always wish us harm. Fact of life and having the power we have it would be confusing if we did not have enemies. We still have no reason to kill without evidence. We have “convicted” thousands of terrorism and put them in holes all over the world. NONE of them have been convicted of any crime. There is NO evidence presented that ANY of them have committed any crimes, with a few exceptions. We simply accuse and torture. Not a good way to spread our values or freedom. In fact that is the WORST way to spread freedom. I am not arguing that we should not prosecute terrorist, I just think we should have EVIDENCE that they are, in fact, terrorists before we punish them. Our prison south of florida has kept people for years because a family member called us and said the person was a terrorist. The truth was that the man held was a heroin addict. His family collected a few thousand dollars for turning him in. The family saw it as a way to make money off someone they were ashamed of. Rumors are not evidence, and should never be considered so. It is a waste of our time, our money and our reputation to ship drug addicts around the world and put them in a cell. We will never torture any usable information from random muslims. We have arrested our own informants and tortured them on rumor alone. It is not freedom, justice or any other high ideal that causes this, it is cowardice and malice.

prior to attacking taliban we tried to give them 40 million dollars to fight drug war.the bush family has long time business ties to bin laden family.if we have a war on terror why is bush allowing a million illegals to cross the border.christians, atheists, muslims alike are getting the shaft from our ruling class who worship themselves.

Agreed…and trust me when I say I haven’t a clue…only to believe there’s a move to make a North American trade zone similar to the EU.
Both parties are failing us…not simply Bush…

    Uhmmm…………What?

Have you been taking lessons from “What”? It’s almost as incoherent…???

I don’t say this with malice towards you…I just don’t see any facts in your post. You talk about rumors but offer no evidence for your claims…

This is the type of response What always gives…kind of makes one utter his name at the end of one of his rants…

Phreeky doesn’t deal with facts well. I am sure most folks here would probably love to have a fact-based discussion with that worm. In would be a quick an merciless pummeling I am sure but alas Phreeky is just unable to identify the facts let alone process the facts in any meaningful manner. It is people like Phreeky, aka worms, that prompted Jefferson to state that “Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions.”
Phreeky has earned the ridicule heaped upon him and it will be all that he gets from me. He is an bleating dying anachronism pleading for us to interact with him.

If xians dealt with facts, they wouldn’t be xians.

Here is a story on some courageous apostates of Islam.

“A group of young Muslim apostates launches a campaign today, the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America, to make it easier to renounce Islam.

The provocative move reflects a growing rift between traditionalists and a younger generation raised on a diet of Dutch tolerance.

The Committee for Ex-Muslims promises to campaign for freedom of religion but has already upset the Islamic and political Establishments for stirring tensions among the million-strong Muslim community in the Netherlands.

Ehsan Jami, the committee?s founder, who rejected Islam after the attack on the twin towers in 2001, has become the most talked-about public figure in the Netherlands. He has been forced into hiding after a series of death threats and a recent attack.”
