The evolution cartoons could have been published yesterday. Wow.
Funny Mentalist!
The 1920’s cartoons were a “teaching moment” for me. I had no idea any such things were being published (being allowed to be published) back then. But it does go to show the long “war” that science, critical thinking, and rational empiricism has waged and must continue to wage to keep the world moving forward, and not backwards as the retrogressive fundamentalists of all religious and political stripes would prefer.

Maybe the anti-semitic cartoons *have* resulted in violent backlash. Maybe that’s what “bomb Iran NOW!” is all about.

Anti-christian cartoons? As prone to violence as some fundie Xtians are these days, I’d be somewhat reluctant to undertake drawing any such cartoons myself (even if I could draw, which I can’t), and would sure as heck do it pseudonymously.

I had viewed the Danish cartoons months ago, and couldn’t find anything offensive about them, for the life of me. (pun intended)
Hey, I saw the Creation Museum in one of those 1920’s cartoons.

Thanks for posting these!
If people, everywhere not just the US, would build the highest walls possible between religion and government then respecting others of different religion or no religion would be an easier thing to do. Notice that I said “respecting others of different religion” rather than “respecting other religions. Religion is just nonsense.

Speaking of comics, have you considered putting Jesus and Mo in your blog roll, Dave?

One of the best atheist sites I have come across. When I first found it I had to start at the beginning and check them all out.
DDD
I took a look at a few jesusandmo strips. I think they are very good. I thought this one was nice:

Once again Dave regurgitates the typical jew response of calling any criticism of Israel “anti-semitic”.
He ignores Israels Jewish/faith-based terrorism, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, military occupation, etc. but instead chooses to demonize cartoons which criticize such jewish extremism and manipulation of the US gov’t & media by jewish terrorists/extemists/zionists, categorizing this as an attack on all jews.
This kind of flawed logic is the same as calling criticism of the Taliban hate-speach that attacks muslims. Once again Dave shows his blind obedience to his religion and the racist, apartheid, jewish state, Israel.
By the way Dave and blog readers, Semite does NOT mean jewish. Arabs are one of several groups of people who are “Semites”. The term “anti-semite” was coined by German racists and solidified by the Nazis, who made it a policy term to ethnically cleanse Germany.Ironically now used as a policy term by “Zio-nazis” to ethnically cleanse Palestine.
?Every single time that we talk about what the Jews are doing, and I mean the Jews, quote, a religious group, end quote, not Hebrew people, not a race. But every time that we talk about what Jews do or do not do, we?re immediately attacked as Anti-Semitic, and there isn?t an Anti-Semitic bone in any of our bodies and we can prove that because we support the PLO and all of the PLO people are Semitic people, so therefore it?s interesting that we have this attack in a continual way.?
