The thing that is so infuriating to me is that Larry Craig having sex in a public toilet is in no way representative of gay men. Only those who are closeted need to resort to the tragically pathetic practice of seeking anonymous sex away from home in a public restroom. Open gay men meet each other through mutual friends or bars or the internet and we find Sen Craig’s actions just as creepy as most other people do.

Rep Craig fought hard to pass a state ban in ID on marriage equality, he fought hard against allowing gays to serve openly in the military, and he fought against workplace discrimination for gays all wrapped up in a “family values” xian package for mass consumption by the easily controlled xian sheeple of ID, yet at the same time he is soliciting anonymous sex in men’s toilets. That is why he is a fake xian. Sen Craig has a long history of fighting gay rumours and I’m willing to bet that he has such compartmentalised thinking that although he has sex with men he doesn’t consider himself to be gay. It is a coping mechanism employed by self hating gay men. Sen Craig is a sad and pathetic product of a conservative xian upbringing but he is an adult who made a decision to dig himself a deep hole of deception and must take personal responsibility for his decision. Not only do I think he should resign for his hypocrisy in denying equality to me and all of the other gays across the nation but I would like to see his head on a stake in front of the ID capitol building (not really but the image is fitting). Closet cases who work against gay equality deserve nothing but the total destruction of their lives and whatever ends up happening to this bastard won’t be bad enough. Fuck him.

The USA was not my first choice but I am glad to be hear and I’m enjoying the new culture.Of course having people ram their religion down my throat is a new experience but I am learning to deal with it.

Was your first choice Australia? Trust me the USA is much better. My best friend’s mum is English born Australian now living in the USA and is even a bigger advocate for this country than I am. I’m not sure what part of the nation you are in but the great thing about this country is it’s size so if you you don’t like the climate or politics there is somewhere else to go to which is more to your liking.

I have been to Tucson four times and must say that it rocks! and it isn’t too overly religious. I had considered Phoenix for myself in the past but it would be too far from my family. Portland, OR is an atheist’s paradise and Seattle is too if you ever decide to leave AZ.
They are now airing the MN police tapes of Sen Craig’s interview. He is heard saying that he is noit gay and doesn’t participate in that “sin”. This story just keeps getting funnier and funnier.

Well put. I was pondering earlier why most modernly worshipped “gods” are belived to have put people on this planet for the sole purpose of an elaborate test, in which humans are given free will and desires but then punished eternally if they act on them.
Why not a god who just wants people to have a good time and enjoy themselves. Why wouldn’t a god want to make himself obviously known to his people, seems strange for these gods to demand worship and devotion but will never even say hi.
Just a strange ruse invented to control people.
That’s why the religious are never free and cannot learn because they cut themselves off to so many experiences life has to offer because they want their eternal “reward”.

As a Catholic schoolgirl I was taught that life on earth is all about suffering for the christ who went to sooo much trouble on the cross just for me. I never understood Gawd’s bloodlust.
We were cut off, as you say, from many necessary experiences; experiences which lead to growth and are part of healthy psychological development. Just look at the way many xian women are asked to dress: glittery kitten sweaters, long skirts, bows in the hair…perpetual childhood. I was always puzzled at the fact that as a female, the only voices in authority that I heard were male, gawd was male, and it bothered me that my experience in a female body was constantly negated by the misogyny of the Roman Catholic Church. Male iconography is very powerful and xians have a hell of a time unraveling themselves from the delusion. BTW, it’s ok to rant…makes life more interesting
