I understand that FICO 08 will weigh the account balances more heavily than the previous FICO versions. It use to be a 30% weight – but now it is more....

Totally agree with 2 and 3, but I don't think she was much of an atheist. Every xtian I know have had a faithless period where they temporarily lose faith just like most of us had the opposite, where we temporarily thought we had faith. I totally don't consider myself in any way shape or form to be a xtian, even though I used to think I was.

But yeah, I love the term "happy-hour of honesty" and "epiphany of intellect". That's some good debate ammunition right there.

One must wonder how many more religious leaders out there are faking it. Could it be... a lot?

Probably more than folks realize. It's human nature to question, and wonder about things, no matter how religion tries to suppress it.

I think we're jumping the gun here. It doesn't matter whether or not she was an atheist, or a devout believer. What matters is what she did. Fed and clothed ALOT of people. That, in itself, is goodness made manifest.

What I don't understand is why the church did not destroy these letters like she asked.

Mother Teresa did not feed and clothe a lot of people. Most of her money was spent on religious activities. See Christopher Hitchens's book, "Missionary Position".

An interview about it with Hitchens,

There is also Penn and Teller's show about her on youtube.
Mother Teresa was not good, she was a crook.

In fact, they see his absence as part of the divine gift that enabled her to do great work.

If this isn't poppycock then I know nothing about poppy...or cock.

As the article stated, she "dug herself into a pit", and then had to keep up the charade for cash. No gawd=no gawd. Mother Theresa was guilty of doublespeak.

"Crisis of faith" . . . hummm? I'm not too sure the term isn't accurate.

In my own case I would describe reaching that fork in the road as a time of crisis. I had been indoctrinated from the cradle onward until somewhere around age fourteen I began to question the horrors of that firey pit commonly known as hell should I cast aside everything I had been taught. This certainly put me in what I would describe as a lengthy crisis period.

My Websters says crisis is 1)The turning point in the course of a disease, when it becomes clear whether the patient will live or die. 2)A turning point in the course of anything; decisive or crucial time, stage or event. 3) a critical situation; a situation whose outcome decides whether possible bad consequences will follow.

I'm thinking all those definitions pretty well describe my turning point. Granted, I wasn't going to die had I chosen to remain xian, but even so I would have continued to suffer the mental torment religion causes. And, although I am at least 99.9% atheist I suppose if I've made the wrong choice and xians have anything to do with it that bad consequences will follow.

Holy CRAP! Never even heard any of this about her. Thought she was the one good thing about xtianity, to have the truth revealed. So disapointed. Only heard the good.

She had an opportunity to do a lot more meaningful work and didn't. Holding and praying over infants dieing of disease and malnutrition does not a saint make. Why didn't she see the folly of the xtian philosophy on birth control?
No matter how deep her doubts were about the existance of her god, she never could have deviated from her master's plan. She was helpless to really help anyone. Pity her.
