"...the real spirit driving the peace mongering protestant leaders is not pacifism at all. It is hatred of President Bush and of America itself."

Which leads to the obvious conclusion that if protestant leaders were true to the Gospel, then they would be Bush-loving warmongers, or at the very least warmongers period.

Warmongering: the Bible and Abrahamic religion, by definition.

I would like a mailing list consisting of all the people that still support the W gang. Sprinkle some jeebus on rat turds and I have no doubt they would buy it.

Furthermore, the UM Desert Southwest Conference Report and the descriptions therein of the IRD only highlight the divisive and intolerant nature inherent in religious belief itself. Not that us atheists/humanists/freethinkers are 100% united ourselves; we just don't go about devising ways to destroy other non-believers who don't think exactly the way we do. Instead, we're working on ways to achieve as close to 100% agreement as we can, while still allowing dissent and disagreement, i.e. the "free marketplace of ideas" to flourish amongst us.

But I'm still gonna drink a Coors if I feel like it, especially if somebody else is buyin' me a beer.

Coors sux, along with Miller and Budwiser. There are plenty of really good micro brews around. Support the little guy not only is the beer better but you aren't giving your hard earned money to some large organization who only cares about their shareholders and couldn't give a hoot about American jobs or wages.
