"Spiritual Ministry Department"

Zah?!!? Is this a part of our government? A part of our NIH? What the fuck?

We may be witnessing the death of separation of church and state in one generation.

It can't even be said that religious doctors are better than non-religious doctors...

"Although many religions call on the faithful to ?serve? their fellow man, a new survey finds that religious doctors are no more likely to practice medicine among the poor and under-served than those with no religious affiliation."
justme,
My diabetes doctor is an atheist and she just finished a year of teaching women's health clinics in Sri Lanka. This woman is amazing and among the most compassionate people I have ever known.
Justme and Alex

In my experience most religious medical students end their proclaimed devotion to helping the needy and underserved communities shortly after starting their residency programs and for many even abandon their touted principles shortly after entering medical school.
