The summer is in full swing, and I’m not having the summer I wanted. I had hoped to take off some substantial time, and I won’t, but at least I get to spend the week at Camp Quest with my daughter.Despite the mosquitoes and other airborne woods-wonders, I had a really great time last year and this year should be just as good.Camp Quest is getting a lot of press this year, mainly as a reflection of “Jesus Camp”. Some try to make us look like the Christian version of Jesus Camp, preaching to kids and brainwashing them into Atheism. It’s not at all like that. 95% of what we do at CQ is just plain fun. Yes, we are all Atheists (with rare exception), but the amount of time we spend on that subject is very small, relative to the horses, the games, the swimming, and or course, the campfire. They will learn a little, but they have a lot of fun — that’s our objective.

Summer in full swing?… according to the all the stores, back to school is already here…
Hey is there a website for Camp Quest?
scrap that last q
I thank all those who work at camp quest for an alternative to brainwashing children. I did not have that opportunity and am glad such a thing exists now. I am glad at least a few children have a chance to enjoy life and reality in an honest and enjoyable venue.
my childhood was radically different, an am very glad some children are not abused and punished for asking questions
$500.00 a ticket…? WOW…that’s sure eliminating a lot of poor kids from the experience…What, no scholarships…?

$6,600 per child tuition for Catholic School? Wow, that sure is eliminating a lot of poor kids from the ‘experience’… What, no scholarships…?

What a dumb ass!
Registration Fee $250.00 per child
Technology Fee $35 per child
Capital Improvement Fee $150 per family
Record payout by the LA Archdiocese for the pedophile priest scandal…Priceless!
phreedm:
Wow, you really set yourself up for that one (courtesy of Ren). You ought to pick your spots more carefully.
“$500.00 a ticket…? WOW…that’s sure eliminating a lot of poor kids from the experience…What, no scholarships…?”
Suckering poor children is nothing to be proud of you imp.

Ah…no. I was talking about Camp Quest…Ren is has trouble with reading comprehension.
Why doesn’t camp Quest or better yet…AA offer scholarships?
But What is right on the mark…who in their right mind would “sucker” a kid to attend camp Quest.
The idea that somehow kids are not indoctrinated to the humanist point of view at camp Quest is patently absurd…but then again…what does truth have to do with it…?
AA does offer scholarships, you no talent assclown. Just like all of AA’s officer’s salaries are public information, which I have repeatedly shown you.
You are a fucking hack who is willfully ignorant.
Granted I am new here, but has it dawned on anyone that not only is phreedm a troll, but a troll that believes that the eating the flesh of a Jewish zombie whose father ordered and rewarded those who participated in genocide will grant him immortality?
phreedm:
I think you’ve missed the point of Ren’s post entirely. I won’t try to explain it though. We’d probably be going back and forth all day.
I wish they had these camps when I was a kid. All we had in SW VA was a church camp that my parents sent me and my brother to one year so we could experience what all the American kids did. The praying and other voodoo was so unfamiliar to us that all the other little campers had to explain to us what was going on.
Well Phreedumb,
Truth has everything to do with it. Your “good” book advocates raping children among many other things and you seem to believe that it has some benefit to beat children into believing it. The belief that asking questions and learning how to get answers, is not an indoctrination, it is giving vital skills to those who will need them for their entire life. We are very sorry that you did not get the chance to develop those skills, but you can hardly blame that on AA or Camp Quest. I would even bet money that the kids in CQ are not taught to beat up the kid that asks questions. I would bet that violence is not taught as a solution to insecurity. I will also bet that the children are not encouraged by the staff to harm the oddball. Unlike christians, free thinkers do not justify cruelty with magic, invisible father figures.
In short, truth has everything to do with it. Morality also is a pillar of that understanding. Again, these are vital skills for any child.
Phreedy knows his arguments are lame but he makes them anyway just to be contrary. He also misrepresents the writing of others for his disruptive ends. He presently fits the usual criteria for a troll. I suggest he be banned at this point.
What,
But if we bar Placenta, he will just resurrect himself as some other troll. Of course… He will be easy to spot… because of his ellipsis addiction.
I wonder if they offer rehab, for that?

There are a few good ways to frustrate the vermin so that posting becomes to unreliable and cumbersome. It would be difficult to eliminate vermin entirely without restrictions that would also discourage legitimate posters. However one can make posting here a bit difficult so that only the truely pathological troll will persist. Those sorry folks can then be simply ignored effectively. It’s up to Dave. Dave?
