They’ve all read the new book “How to alienate 30 Million voters to court right-wing-nuts who won’t vote for you anyway”
WASHINGTON (June 4) – In a rare public discussion of her husband’s infidelity, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that she probably could not have gotten through her marital troubles without relying on her faith in God. …Clinton said she’s “been tested in ways that are both publicly known and those that are not so well known or not known at all.” She said it’s those times when her personal faith and the prayers of others sustain her. “At those moments in time when you are tested, it is absolutely essential that you be grounded in your faith,” she said.
Edwards, wearing a purple tie to match Sojourners’ signature color, promoted himself as the candidate most committed to the group’s mission of fighting poverty. He said he doesn’t feel his belief in evolution is inconsistent with his belief in Christ and he doesn’t personally feel gays should be married, although as president he wouldn’t impose his belief system on the rest of the country. “I have a deep and abiding love for my Lord, Jesus Christ,” Edwards said, but he said the United States shouldn’t be called a Christian nation. He said he has been going to church since he was a child and was baptized as a teen. He said he strayed from his faith as an adult and it came “roaring back” when his teenage son died in 1996. “It was the Lord that got me through that,” Edwards said, along with both of his wife’s cancer diagnoses.
(my opinion) Is Guiliani a better choice?. There. I said it. Here’s more: Screw the dems. If they don’t care about us, why stick with them… again?

Guliani is a Fascist neocon if I ever saw one.
A fascist neocon and well connected to organized crime. A perfect match.
Karen: Spirits are for over the rocks or straight up. A good stiff one (or couple of em) can help you forget what ails you (if only at times) We (as Hill and John, etc) all have our trials, troubles, tribulations, and stories. I get annoyed with politicians who too often and conveniently get off important constituent related subjects and start rambling on about themselves as if they were the only ones with insight or who had been singled out somehow to carry a heavy burden in this life. Some candidates prefer to waste everyones time giving unrequested and lengthy personal testimonials I guess. It isn’t that I’m not ever sympathetic to people including well knowns but aren’t there are more important issues at least for us voters? Well, regardless of whether we take ours on the rocks or straight up.. cheers! As some say “a votre sante” and by all means bottoms up!
Just one more thing regarding a Mme Clinton White House..Would Bill be trusted with the ladies in so far as to plan dinners and good china service? What would we call Bill anyway? First man? Also, will all the testimonial “stuff” go away or should we all get prepared that “Hail to the Chief” is destined to become “Blow the Man Down”?
The only way for atheists to get respect by any politician is to increase the number of atheists and make it knon that no group owns their votes.
Ugh. Gag. Please, there are no republican candidates qualified to be the next U.S. President. Just look at them! Check the May 21st, 2007 “The New Republic” article “Party Boy” by Thomas B. Edsall before seriously considering Mr. Giuliani.
PS What’s Biden’s take on the sky god? Steve
