I'm confused as to why he thinks that H.R. 1592 will limit free speech. Can somebody please point me to the part of that legislature that would limit free speech?
That article was written by a shallow-minded bigot. HR 1592 will deprive fundy christians of their god-given right to bash queers, not limit free hate speech and incitement to hate crimes. If there is an atheist conspiracy and agenda, I will gladly join in.

Hate crime legislation is unecessary and unconstitutional. HR 1592 could be used to silence unpopular speech if the speech is deemed to be casue a sense of intimidation. Xians have every right to say and believe that homosexuality is wrong just as I have every right to think and say that religion is ignorant and stupid. We already have laws which punish assault and we really don't need more legislation that carries different punishment based on the attackers beliefs and thus creates Orwellian thought crimes. That's not an America I want to live in.
Oh, and Chuck Norris is a fucking idiot.

In fact, right now, they are coalescing and rallying at least 5 million of their troops to mount counter offensives to Christianity.

How come I didn't know about this?

Was there a signing bonus?

I wonder what the oath of allegience sounds like...

Damn, I want in on some of the action.

The `Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007' provides local jurisdictions with the right to apply for grants to assist with the technical, forensic, prosecutorial, or any other form of assistance in investigating or prosecuting a crime.

Under no stretch of the imagination can this legislation be said to outlaw Christianity. I find it wonderful that another closet gay like Norris is stating that this will do exactly that by keeping him and others from being able to denigrate and physically abuse homosexuals.

One more reason for rejecting Christianity. I refuse to be a gay-basher like them. I guess I am just too moral to go around kicking the teeth out of people for God. And damn proud of the fact.

This is nauseating. I used to like Chuck Norris because his "acting" is so untintentionally funny.

The hyperbole in these types of articles would be amusing if not for the potential readership who will actually believe much of it to be true. There are many among the brainwashed masses who will truly believe that we (atheists) have 5 million "troops" and that we're mounting "counter offensives to christianity." They'll actually believe that Dawkins and Harris are "militants", which suggests that we're all intent on violence. They pit the patriotic theists against the scheming atheists. I hope people will know propaganda when they see it, but I have my doubts.

And by the way, what is it about the ACLU that these people hate so thoroughly? If any attempt were made to outlaw christianity, wouldn't the ACLU be the first to come to the christian's defence? Or would they refuse to accept ACLU money?
