Mikey Weinstien tells us about the anti-Semitism at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Bush tells us that he is fighting in Iraq because God told him to go and kill Muslims. Gen. Boykin says that God put Bush in the White House. So read this piece by Robert Koehler linked to in the title to this posting. Our Department of War is being run by the U.S. Evangelical Taliban who is in control of the most technologically advanced deadly war machine in the history of the world and our decider in chief says we are on a holy crusade. Comment from: What

Many of us had been thinking hard these past four years about how to stop our first war criminal president from making things worse in Iraq.

What an ignorant statement…worse in Iraq? Rape rooms, chemical attacks to name a few…sheesh.

It appears many would like to go back to pre-9/11 and pretend nothing happened…

I’m still waiting for the bomb thrower to back up his lie…

    Phreed-hem,

What an ignorant statement…worse in Iraq? Rape rooms, chemical attacks to name a few…sheesh.

With an estimated 1 out of 5 prisoners in America’s Federal Prison System being raped at least once, at some time during their incarceration, just who exactly is it running ‘rape rooms’?

    And finally,

According to survey research cited in the report, as many as 20% of male prisoners and 25% of female prisoners have been victims of sexual assault in jail or prison.

Did you think of that yourself, or did you cut and paste that from a GOP talking point?

  4. evilatheistconquerer says:

    phreedm,
And you’ve decided to buy all the bullshit that your government feeds you. For that, I truly feel sorry for you.

“Someone’s been keeping his head in the sand…”

    And I’m a chick not a dude.

  5. reason says:

    what
i have written my senator to complain about the war.i did not get a response and i used respectful langauge.if democrats are really opposed to the war they could simply vote not to fund it but they won’t because they are craven hacks.we destroyed iraq are we now after so many innocent iraqis have died supposed to say sorry our mistake and leave.i am torn on this, part says get out but other part says we must not dishonor our dead by leaving iraqi women, children to they mercy of monsters.

  6. evilatheistconquerer says:

    reason,
Of course the dems aren’t voting not to fund the war. You do realize that that would only hurt the troops that are already there. You can’t just say, “No more money. Now find your own damn ride home. And stop bleeding on the shirts, will ya? You have to return those.”

“we must not dishonor our dead by leaving iraqi women, children to they mercy of monsters.”

    reason, we’ve become those monsters!

i think well of you so you don’t think i am a paranoid racist.i want you to understand i am not against legal immigrants.we simply can’t be the dumping ground for gov’ts that won’t do right by their people.call me a softy but i think people in latin america deserve good gov’t too.

  8. reason says:

    EAC
we are not the monsters we don’t use power drills on people because they belong to a different sect.
as for funding if you want bush to modify course you have to show you are a tough sob.the pols say the war is mismanaged but keep giving money to the guy they blame what message does that send that their ambitions
are more important than the lives of our troops

  9. karen says:

    reason

But we have historically been the dumping ground for people whose governments do them wrong. That’s how we ended up here in the first place.
Now are we saying “We got ours; go get yours somewhere else!” ?

Granted, illegal immigration is a problem, and we should be on the defense against terrorists. But I don’t think we need to shoot poor shlubs who are just trying to sneak across to find a less than minimum wage job.

I don’t think you’re a paranoid racist. But I don’t know how to take your comments half the time either. :/

we are full we have our own unskilled workers who are being force to compete at and unfair advantage for employers.

  11. reason says:

you guys have a good weekend and i will pretend at church to pray for you.btw if you guys want to meet other atheists go to mainline protestant or catholic church but stay away from mega churchs etc.there is nothing wrong with a little fantasy in life as long as you know its fantasy.baptist and methodist have good food.anyone know about the others.

  12. karen says:

    reason
Sometimes our unskilled workers suffer from the “that job’s not good enough for me” disease. And if someone is willing to risk life and limb to cross the border and do it instead, I can’t say I blame hhim/her for taking the job.

Presbyterians throw a good meal on too, as do Episcopalians. Epis are pretty easy to get along with. But the food’s not worth suffering thru a sermon over.

  13. evilatheistconquerer says:

    karen,
I heard episcopalians are pretty liberal though. We have an episcopalian church here with a female minister. (I grew up in male only catholic, so I was surprised when I heard that.) I’ve never been but I’ve heard she’s not too bad. I could never go to church just for food though. Not unless I was homeless, and even then I doubt I’d be that desperate.

  14. evilatheistconquerer says:

    reason,
But we can’t just drop funding for the ones that are over there. We can agree not to raise it, but even then I’d worry. This administration has been corrupt enough about not supplying the troops adequately (yet supposedly the liberals hate the troops, give me a break).
Also, the kind of jobs with the awful conditions that these immigrants are working are not jobs nor conditions most people would want to take.
Enjoy your weekend. Do me a favor though and sit in the front row and fart really loud. ;)

  15. karen says:

    evil
Yeah. I think, except for UUs, Epis are looked at as next-to heathens by the other sects; they’re that librool.

The church here doesn’t have a she-minister, but i know they exist. The local Methodists has a she-minister for a while, and I attended there when she was in the pulpit. But the old crone die-hards got rid of her ASAP.

Don’t go to church if you become homeless, darlin’. Come stay with me. ;)

  16. evilatheistconquerer says:

    karen,
If I remember right, the Episcopalians also allow homosexual clergy. They also allow gay marriage. Though all of that caused a major split in the church. I guess equal rights is still a little far off.

That’s a very kind offer. If I ever find myself homeless, I’ll certainly live on your doorstep for a while and fling excrement at the passing theists. :)

  17. hominid says:

evilatheistconquerer: “sit in the front row and fart really loud” That was pretty good but which targets are we hoping to hit with fart faces?

  18. evilatheistconquerer says:

    hominid,
    Everyone behind him.

  19. phreedm says:

EA…are you claiming that we do not have an illegal immigration problem…?

  20. bernarda says:

phreedumb, I can’t speak for EA, but for myself there is no “illegal immigration” problem.

The U.S. has a 200 billion dollar trade deficit with China. So why do shirts, shoes, toys, etc. have more rights to enter the U.S. than people?

If you want to talk about “illegal immigration”, why not talk about the “illegal immigration” of products that are made with slave labor?

Why does a TV or car have more rights to cross borders than a person?

  21. evilatheistconquerer says:

    phreedm,
I’m saying that the government and the media are hyping it up way more than is actually there. The whole immigration thing has turned into some racist rant by the right. I have a lot of sympathy and compassion for these people. They are living in truly shit conditions. They have every right to try and find a better life for themselves and their families. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What don’t you get about that?

And sorry for taking so long to get back. I’ve had finals for the past week and a half so I’m kind of out of it.
